DID WE WIN ON TUESDAY?

We saw a Republican comeback on Tuesday as the votes were counted across the country.  Some very good conservative minded candidates won.  That is great news!  In South Dakota Republicans held on tightly to its majority status.  Some liberal Democrats were unseated.  That’s great news!

But before we start dancing in the streets, let’s take a closer look.  Does a Republican win in South Dakota mean we are going in the right direction?  I haven’t yet done the math to see who CONTROLS the Republican Party, but conservative Christians should not claim victory at this moment.

The Republican Party is filled with “liberal” Republicans…in South Dakota.  Republicans who support the killing of human embryos in the name of research, support abortion in many or all circumstances, embrace higher taxes, promote more government regulation and control, insist on spending MORE money, believe that marriage is not a sacred union of a man and a woman, want to remove God from every part of government, look to the Federal Government to “bail us out” (with our grandchildren’s money) and look at Tea Party members and Christians as fringe lunatics.  Many of these Republicans not only won, they ran unopposed.

The only thing worse than losing, is THINKING you won when you really lost.  We can now go quietly back to sleep and believe that everything will “be all better”.  NOT!!!  Now is a time for Christians to WAKE UP and see the real plight of our state and our nation.  We are in serious trouble.  We need God now more than ever.

Did Americans in South Dakota and across the country really win?

It never ceases to amaze me that with a bit of extra hunting online, a person can stumble upon some of the most fascinating blogs. It’s annoying that more blogs like this aren’t higher ranked in the search engine results. I know a friend that will really enjoy this blog so I’ll send him a link to your post. I run a small US company that makes a line of inspirational political gifts that commemorate the great leaders, speeches and events of United States politics. You could say I specialize in political gifts as my handle would suggest. I’m hoping for the US economy to get rolling again so I hope you’ll permit me including my url in this comment. I should also add that I am the type of person who still believes America keeps getting better and better in spite of our present difficulties. Thank you again the enlightening blog!

Charles Rangel: House Ethics Committee does NOT care what citizens think of its judgement call nor it Slap On The Wrist punishment, for you citizens are NOT members of the most elite club in America, The United States Congress, and they are.

Rangel? always thought censured was: examine and remove. Remove him, remove him ! We the American people are SICK, SICK of it… it’s ok for the government to lie, cheat, steal, but We the people of America do it, we are fined, jailed and the media has a field day with it !

  26. November 19, 2010 at 1:16 am

Dear Mr Rangel, Why don’t you do the right thing apologize and resign. We need some fresh blood in your position. Step aside and enjoy the last days of your life because you have definitely burned-out. Come on Rangel you can do it….let go of the pride…do the right thing

      Yes

You will not “restore” Godliness via the ballot box (as if fallen mankind has ever been any better at Godliness). You corrupt your faith with this misguided drive for theocracy.

We will restore Godliness by the grace of God in His time. Your hyperbole is showing.

There is no “we.” You’re creating a division where one does not exist. Your “we” fabrication stems from your religious fundementalism, and your need to creete an “enemy” to further your cause. “We” are all Americans, and 99% of you are Christians. There are no personal or party victories. Your divisive attitude and extreme partisanship is detrimental to the overall well being of our country, state and county.

Specifically though, the tea party took a pretty good beating last week. It’s a shame they have to try and be so divisive. They make the mainstream parties look like the Dems and Repubs of old, capable of shaking hands and having dinner together after a rousing political debate.

Oh there most certainly is a “we,” and “we” kicked your tails on Election Day 2010. You independents were a non-factor, as usual. You sit on your pompous linguistic thrones and make wild non-factual pronouncements but truly say nothing because you stand for nothing. You are paper tigers puffed up by your own words but accomplishing nothing. You use words like “fundamentalists” and “partisanship” as though they were curses. We don’t have to create an enemy, the enemy exists in the sinful nature of man. 6% isn’t enough BT.

By the grace of God and the hard work of some patriots we won the opportunity to retard the rate of decay and decline of Godliness in our country. It was a good first step but only a first step. We MUST remain active, vigilant and vociferous in our quest to regain the greatness of America. By the grace of God we will succeed.
