Unarmed America

What would America look like without the second amendment?

It would look a lot like Colorado.

The left is predictably using this tragedy to promote the idea of more gun control. They continue to mistakenly argue that making gun ownership illegal will save lives and create a safer environment in our country.

Simply stated, they are wrong.

Even so, their voice seems to be the loudest. Maybe it’s politically correct to be against guns during this time of grief. Some would suggest this is “not the time” to defend gun rights.

They, too, are wrong.

The Colorado incident would have had a far different outcome if someone in the theater had been exercising their right to carry a gun. This deranged shooter would have been stopped and many lives could have been saved.

The real problem in Colorado was that there wasn’t anyone prepared to DEFEND their self or others.

The theater held perhaps 200 people. If 5% had been armed (ten people) and they all began firing on the perp I guarantee the outcome would have been different. Friends, train with your weapon of choice, get your carry permit then don’t leave home unarmed. That is the only way we’ll put a stop to this insanity.

Furthermore, if you are under assault from a guy with a gasmask, tear gas, and a bullet proof vest carrying a modified assault rifle, shotgun and glock, what weapon do you recommend for a moviegoer to use?

I think you should use this as an effort to push armor piercing rounds, if we have learned anything it’s that every citizen needs them after this.

The weapon I would recommend a moviegoer use is the one he has on his person and is capable of using. a vest does not protect the rest of his body. The point is, that gun control does NOT solve these kind of problems. Armed citizens who can protect themselves and others DO solve these kind of problems.

Seriously? Colorado is an Open Carry state. Several military were victims and/or in the audience.

Are the victims all cowards or are they just stupid for not exercising their rights?

I have not heard that anyone in the theater was armed. Did anyone, soldiers included, have a weapon? Did the shooter have a vest over his groin and his legs? I am certainly not placing any fault on ANYONE in the theater. The point is very simple. If someone had a gun and knew how to use it, this incident might have had a much different outcome.

Soldiers in the theatre could not have helped as our armed forces members are forbidden to carry firearms. Sound ridiculous……it is.
