Post Election Plans for Conservatives

Now that the election has come and gone, we must assess what went wrong and what we can do for the next election, IF we are fortunate enough to have another election in 4 years.

First off, let’s face it, we had a lousy candidate.  The GOP establishment shoved this candidate down our throats and we got stuck with a candidate who was NOT conservative – he was a flip-flopper on the issue of abortion, the originator of state-mandated health care, and the first governor who signed gay marriage into law in his state.  He did have his strong points when it came to running a business and some decent ideas for improving the jobs market, but for many of us, the fact that he was impersonating as a conservative when we knew he was NOT was the biggest issue.

Secondly, the GOP establishment themselves are at fault.  Not only did they give us the lousy candidate, but the fact that they are “DemoCRAP” Lite, i.e. RINOS, made many of us angry.  Many refused to vote.  Whether this is a wise choice or not is not the topic of this article, and there are a myriad of reasons as to why people refused to vote in this election.  Suffice it to say, the GOP establishment lost a substantial amount of what used to be their base years ago when they moved away from conservative principles, and this pseudo-conservative candidate did nothing to bring them back into the fold.

Thirdly, multiple incidences of voter fraud did affect the election substantially.  I won’t get into my strong opinions on this issue, but suffice it to say, voter fraud did affect the outcome.  I don’t hold out hope that the GOP will investigate the fraud, since they seem so namby-pamby these days and lack the cahones to do anything of substance.

Now…what can we do about it?

  1. We MUST NOT finance the GOP establishment any longer.  Send them the message that we do NOT agree with either their liberalism or their power hold on what used to be a great party by hitting them in the pocketbook.  Refuse to give your business to any business that supports the GOP establishment.  Money talks!

  2. Change your party affiliation from Republican to Independent.  The message will be heard loud and clear if mass quantities of people change their party affiliation away from the Republican Party.

  3. Work hard to get conservative candidates on the ballot – that is, assuming that we will be fortunate enough to have another free election in 2 and 4 years (which I have my doubts will happen, but that topic is for a future article).   Financially support these candidates, work hard to get them into office, THEN HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE.

  4. Support voter ID laws in EVERY STATE.  Push for the abolition of electronic voting and the use of inked fingerprints on paper ballots for verification of validity of ballots.  This might be a tough reach, but push for the requirement that you must not be receiving government aid in order to vote.  It’s a conflict of interest to be able to vote to get more from the hand that feeds you.

  5. Stay involved. Write your congressman/senator and hold their feet to the fire supporting conservative policies and giving them a piece of your mind when they vote against conservative bills.

I am sure there are many other great ideas we could all come up with to not only further the conservative cause, but to remove the GOP establishment and start the party afresh.  Let’s start some dialogue and come up with some great ideas and start the ball rolling!

There’s at least one other significant reason why Romney didn’t win the general election, and it’s still being largely unreported by most media sources.

I am speaking of the Romney campaign’s high tech “Get out the vote” project which was unequivocally an abysmal failure.

Romney lost in some key battleground states like Virginia and Ohio because his campaign was in a state of utter confusion and was ultimately unable to turn out the Republican voter base.

You can read more about it at Breitbart.com.

As Ken Blanchard says, Barack Obama “won, fair and square. That means he has my consent to be President. Only a child could pretend otherwise.”

Glad you got to say that, Cory. Enjoy your victory, but I think before too long you wont be as happy with your choice.

Another ramble with no evidence. Show me evidence that voter turnout was lower among Republicans. There’s an argument that the difference was that more young voters showed up, and they went strongly pro-Obama. Show me evidence of massive voter fraud changing the outcome. Don’t just make up your preferred reality; ground your argument in documentable facts.

And your source of irrefutable evidence is “Center For Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement?” You Alinskites are all alike….some liberal loon writes something under a long title and immediately it becomes truth. Go sell that on SDWC.
