Tea Party Power In 2014

Media talking heads, Democrats and liberal Republicans continue to proclaim the demise of the Tea Party.

Like Mark Twain, Tea Party patriots are saying “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated”.

The rallies of 2009 that drew thousands of people to protest the actions of government have become a faint whisper.  What the nay-sayers overlook is that the whisper is the sound of engagement.  The sign-carrying protesters have become on the ground activists.  Some of them have been elected to office.

But does the Tea Party have the muscle to change American politics in 2014?  I think so.

One third of the US Senate is up for grabs.  20 of those seats are currently held by Democrats.  A net gain of 6 Senate Seats would swing control of the Senate back to Republicans.  Look for a good share of those seats to be taken by Tea Party candidates.

Thirty-six states have Governor races.  Tea Party candidates will be in a strong position to win many of those contests.

The odds might not look that great at this moment, but adversaries of the Tea Party should take seven seconds to watch this video…

As the impact of ObamaCare hits America in the face, and the inept, tax, spend and compromise Republican leadership continues to fumble the ball, Tea Party patriots will rise to the challenge in support of limited responsible government.

Right now it seems that the Tea Party is outnumbered and out-gunned.  I just have a few words of advice for those adversaries of the Tea Party:

“Fill your hands…..”
