Pray Every Day

A message of hope, inspiration and challenge.

America’s only hope for restoration is for men, women and children to turn their hearts toward God. This Sunday message is one that is good for every day of the week.

Recognizing the intimate connection between revival and prayer, I’m challenging you to make prayer more and more a part of everyday life. How, you ask?

First…as you plan your day each morning do it in prayer. Most of us have at least some process of trying to organize our activity each day. We make lists, schedules, and at the very least try to think through our daily “to do” list. My challenge is to do this in prayer, bringing each item on your list before the Father so that your steps may be more and more “ordered” and directed by Heaven.

Secondly, start praying “out loud and on the spot”. In other words, instead of just promising to pray for someone’s need, stop right then and there, whether you’re in a car, on the phone or in a store and bring that need out loud before the Throne of grace. I’ll admit this can be a little scary the first time you do it, but I promise you that the more you do it the more natural it will feel and the benefits are…well, out of this world.

Finally, ask someone to be your prayer partner. If you’re married you should already be praying with your spouse, but think of the benefits of having a same gender friend that you can call at any time to ask them to pray. You don’t even necessarily have to tell them what the need is. Just having someone who cares lift up your name before the Father is enough.
