SAY “NO” TO THE ISLAMIC VICTORY MOSQUE AT GROUND ZERO

A New York City commission has paved the way for an Islamic mosque to be built at Ground Zero – the very site where Islamic radicals murdered 3,000 American citizens!

If the Islamic mosque were built on the site, not only would it disrespect the memories murdered, it would essentially become a “victory flag” planted on hallowed soil.

Grassfire Nation has launched a national petition opposing the “victory” mosque being placed at Ground Zero, and intends on taking 200,000 grassroots petitions from Americans across the nation to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Governor David Paterson and other key officials involved in the debate.

    There is no “error” in faith, only faith. Faith can neither be proved or disproved, it simply exists. For Israel our faith precedes yours and that of Muslims by thousands of years. So we stay true to it, regardless of the new faith of both. I don’t belive you or the Muslims are going to be condemned because of your faith. Your faith will change when the Messiah comes for us all, and restores peace among all men on earth.

        You can be only annointed through the Jewish faith or a Jew Bob. Being “born again” is strictly a Christian creation. But, the Messiah can annoint you to, and He will one day, I am confident.

        The concept of “error” on the Jews part as told by Christians is really laughable to most, insulting to some. Imagine another sect of Christianity evolving from the current Christian faith, using it as it’s foundation, then one day telling future Christians they have made an “error,” and the original faith is now wrong. That’s exactly what Christian fundamentalists claim as they try to explain the Jews refusal to accept Jesus for anything other than what He was, a Jew. Jews simply view this as yet another test, perhaps even from God Himself. Look at what Israel has endured throughout history, do you really think she will change now, after staying the course for thousands of years? Im afraid you have underestimated our faith.

          Jesus, a Jew, said “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” And he was the Messiah who was prophesied all the way back to Genesis.

          You claim on one hand that Jews, Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Yet you indicate that Jesus was not the Messiah. This means Christians are, from your perspective, worshiping a false God. Therefore, Christians, Muslims, and Jews can NOT be worshiping the same God, since we believe Jesus was the Messiah and is one with God the Father and Holy Spirit.

          You can’t even make your own deceptions/errors consistent.

    My relatives, the ancient ones were worshipping God long before the birth of Jesus, long before the written word was used to do so. Neither the children of Israel or myself will deviate from the faith which has been passed to us throughout the ages.

    My Great Grandfather was a Rabbi from the old world. He came to America with tolerance and acceptance and his word from God. He stood at the Western Wall and prayed for many hours, and the wisdom of the ages entered his soul. I have a picture of him on the Mount high above. It is through his blood, and the blood of his forebearers the word has been passed to me.

    Perhaps it is you who is mistaken, and has been lead astray by a case of mistaken identity involving your ancestors and the Mesiah. How has God made His standard known to you Bob? How do you receive His word? In what manner did He teach you to discern?

    No, you won’t make it to heaven with your current convictions. You do not love your enemies, nor do you pray for them. Jesus implores you to do so, but you do not heed His instructions or take His preaching to heart, chosing instead to serve your own ego.

    You may find comfort believing your blaspemous behavior is santioned by God, but it clearly is forbidden. You fight a war of words only Bob, in a world where actions are needed. I gather from your statement you believe in a second coming. So do I, but it will be the Jewish Messiah, not the one depicted in the erroneous writings of St. John. And He will cause all men to unite with God’s chosen people, the people of Israel.

      The only conviction that will get a person to heaven is the conviction that they are a sinner, incapable of meeting God’s standard outside the grace of Jesus Christ, and that Christ’s sacrificial death as the Son of God on the cross is sufficient to pay the penalty for my sins. Fortunately, God has led me to this truth and I have accepted it.

      You should do the same. Then, perhaps, you could see how incredibly wrong you are, and start pointing people toward the truth instead of a hell-bound lie.

      I’ll give you credit for getting something right, though. Christ’s second coming will indeed be of the Jewish Messiah; that’s who we was the first time, even though many Jews rejected him then and still do. And we will all indeed–Jew and Gentile–be united together in the family of God.

      But knowing this won’t save you. Only humbling yourself before Christ and accepting him as the only way, the only truth, and the only life that a human being can have, and that there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

      I urge you to stop playing games and get right with God as soon as possible.

    No, mere “trying” won’t meet God’s standard. Thankfully, I have Christ’s righteousness he purchased for me on the cross. Unlike Islam, I don’t have to guess and hope (or blow someone up for Allah) I’ll make it to heaven.

    Hopefully, with the truth being made known, those who have not accepted Christ’s pardon–whether they call themselves Muslims or Jews or Protestants or Catholics–will cast aside anything that isn’t God’s truth and avail themselves of that pardon.

      I try my very best to love my enemies. Loving them means caring enough about them not to leave them blissfully deluded about their direction for Hell. It also means warning others (and you) about the very serious nature of your deceptions, and about their origin. You are preaching a false gospel and promoting the worship of a false god. These are no small matters. I want you to change the course of your life to worship the One True God and to stop deceiving other people into the jaws of Hell.

      God commands us to do this (Ezekiel 3:17-21, Matthew 28:18-20 . Acts 17:16-18, Acts 18:24-28, Galatians 2:11, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Timothy 5:20).

      It’s not a joke.

    What’s kinda funny Bob is the way you appear to actually believe you know more about just living than me, because you read your Bible a certain way.     You might pause to reflect on this pasage;
    “Therefore I will tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow or reap nor gather grain into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they”?

      I am certain that I am going to heaven based on the grace and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and his promise to save anyone who calls on his name. Anyone can also be certain of their salvation (1 John 5:13); unlike in Islam, we don’t have to hope blindly or blow someone up for Allah to be assured of a place in heaven.

      That you are capable of not going to heaven (and also that I am capable of not, had I not thrown myself on God’s mercy) is also not only knowable but an absolute certainty:

      – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
      – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23
      – here is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. (Romans 3:10-12)
      – Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13)

      You cannot find and accept God’s truth even in the Scriptures if you are busy hanging onto your own “wisdom” and that of the world. As Christ said, “He who has ears, let him hear.” (Matthew 11:15) Why do you have this problem finding God’s truth? For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ (Matthew 13:15)

      Stop relying on the wisdom of the world; it’s the way to death. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5)

    Christ was indeed drawn to the most unfortunate people on earth. He DID, however, judge them.

    To claim that Christ ignores right and wrong, and does not judge sin, is one of the most asinine and false statements one could possibly make. Christ makes it clear that he judges, and he judges right and wrong (John 5:22, John 5:27, John 12:48). You would do well to read the book of Revelation, and find out about the massive, final judgment that is to come, as well.

    He also condemns unrepentantly sinful behavior–especially that which refuses to accept its own error, and that which leads others into sin (Matthew 12, Matthew 18:6, Matthew 23)

    God gave us a brain, and he gave us a written record of his standard, and he expects us to use both to discern what is right and what is wrong (Ezekiel 3:18, Luke 12:57, 1 Corinthians 6:2-3, 1 Corinthians 10:15).

    Whether you are a deliberate deceiver and know that you are not a follower of Christ, or whether you have only been deceived into believing and repeating perverted advice that will lead people to Hell–either way, you need to get into to the Word of God, repent and get your heart right.

    I’d like to see you in Heaven one day, but based on your behavior on this and other blogs, right now it’s looking like a very bad day (and a bad eternity to come) when you meet your Creator.

    I actually consider you to be guilty of attempting to cause people who belive in Jesus to sin. But I don’t believe you should be killed because of it. Jesus hated no one, He was drawn to the most unfortunate people on earth, those who had no self-esteem, no possesions, and virtually nothing to live for. He lifted them up with His love and compassion. He did not judge them. He did not threaten them or attempt to instill fear in them, or anyone for that matter. The Romans did that. You know all this Bob. Your Bible was edited by the Roman empire when it decided to adopt Christianity as it’s state sanctioned religion. Sadly, Jesus word was lost to the self-serving evils of organized religion and man’s quest for money and power.

    Matthew 6:5-6 ” And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

    You do not follow these simple words Bob, chosing instead to make a public spectacle of yourself and your faith. You even try to use the words of Jesus to support your own political views. You are “causing little ones to sin” Bob. Someday the true meaning of Jesus’ words will enter your heart like a cold slap in the face, and you will be enlightened.

      I have no anger for those who have religious callings that are different than mine. I have an anger similar to God’s anger for those who willfully promote evil and attempt to deceive others.

      For Christ himself to have said, “If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea,” I think my anger at evil and deception is pretty tame.

      You might give Christ’s admonition some very serious contemplation at your earliest available time.

      I don’t hate my fellow man. Rather, as Romans 12:9 commends us, I “hate what is evil.” I hate injustice. I hate seeing deceivers try to mislead others into accepting or acquiescing evil. Remember what Christ said in Matthew 18:6 about people who lead others into evil? Perhaps Christ hated people…or maybe he just hated evil and opposed those who try to lead others into it.

      You would do well to appreciate goodness and justice more, and seek less to accommodate and appease evil.

      Neither Christ nor any of his committed disciples were milquetoast pushovers.

    So, who exactly called this the “victory” mosque? If a catholic church builds within a few blocks of an abortion clinic that was bombed, is that a “victory” church? I suppose if all muslims are evil terrorist bombers, all christians are abortion clinic bombers and Dr. killers and hate homosexuals? America, real beacon of freedom, acceptance and tolerance these days. Seems to me those most adamant about adhearing to the strict language of the constitution are the ones in opposition to this…I can see where you are morally opposed, just hope you dont think there should be some legal precedent to stop this as well.

    I can’t speak for the so-called Christians Ghandi encountered, but I can speak for myself and I can speak against your deception and lies, Independent.

    I have been a thankful recipient of God’s grace and love for many years. As such, I recognize evil for what it is, and like God, I hate it; have been held prisoner to it, and grieve over the fact that so many of us are held prisoner to sin and evil. Going soft on evil destroys lives and souls, and at one time mine was nearly one of them. Those who encourage others go play nice with evil and go soft on evil contribute to the damage.

    Because God is in the process of remaking my heart to share his values, I hate deception and the subversion of truth as he does. You are either intentionally or through your own deceived state trying to deceive others.

    I’ve encountered people before who pretend to be Christians–all the while knowing they are not and are merely pretending to be to gain someone’s confidence–and peddle bad advice to mislead Christians who aren’t grounded in the Bible. I hope you aren’t one of these, but your attitudes and claims are so far off the mark, I genuinely have to wonder.

    If you really believe the poison you’re peddling and claim to be a Christian, then you’ve fallen victim to some crippling spiritual poison someone has peddled to you.

    If you think Christ was a moronic pushover who smiled like an idiot in the face of evil and was completely cool with the injustice and deception that permeates our world, you are woefully, miserably mistaken. Read Matthew 12, Matthew 21, Matthew 23, Mark 11, Luke 17 and others; Christ was no pushover when it came to dealing with evil, and if you’re busy trying to always look like the “good guy,” you won’t get very far in Christ’s kingdom (Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:9-10, Mark 13:13, Luke 6:22, Luke 21:17, John 15:18-19, John 17:14, 1 John 3:13). If you think following God is about being liked and not about confronting evil, you’re barking up the wrong tree…a tree rooted in destruction.

    I highly encourage you to abandon the liberal pap that has infested your mind, go back to the Bible and read about the real Christ, learn about how holy God is and how much he eschews the evil you are so eager to excuse (Psalm 5:5, Psalm 11:5, Prov. 6:16-19, John 3:36, Romans 6:23, Romans 12:9, 1 Peter 1:13-16, Hebrews 1:9, Revelation 2:6). Then get busy obeying God’s call to warn people away from their sin (Ezekiel 3:18, Matthew 28:18–20, Romans 10:14-15).

    Authentically following Christ is a hard road, but it is infinitely worth it.

    the reason this is the best country in the world is for the very reason that this “mosque” should be allowed to be built there

    my grandfather fought in Europe in WWII, he was D+4, and i asked him once later in life when there were stories on the news of Americans burning the American Flag, what he thought about it and his answer was “i fought for the rights of those people to be able to do that” as a young man at the time i found it quite profound and very influential

    if i denied every person that i came across in life from doing things that i didn’t agree with, what would that make me…….Christian?

And God help us all, there were even some “fellow Americans” in those doomed towers who were homosexuals Bob. Imagine that.

    The moral of this is, “fellow Americans” really includes many people you actually despise. See how wrong you are, and why God is not working through you yet? He will, someday.

      Some of the Muslims who died on 911 were the Muslim terrorists who sought to murder those 3,000 Americans. And any peace-loving Muslims who might have been victimized by them would hopefully condemn both that terrorist act and this proposed victory mosque. In fact, a few Muslims have finally stepped forward to condemn this abomination. You should join them, as should the Jews and atheists you mentioned; anyone not drunk on liberal Koolaid easily recognizes this for the deliberate offense that it is.

      As for people despising others, it was made quite obvious on 911 who despised who…as it continues to be with the proposed construction of the Ground Zero Victory Mosque.

    The Supreme Court has correctly enforced the Establishment Clause, and the wishes of our Founding Fathers to prevent you or anyone else from injecting their particular religious convictions into our government. Nothing in the bible states you must use your religious convictions in all envirionments. That my friend is extremism, and it’s un-American and not in keeping with God’s will.

      Actually, Independent, it isn’t the Supreme Court that makes law for the American people; the U.S. Constitution establishes law and guarantees our liberties. As for the Bible, it makes it clear that God as not only addressed every area of our lives, he expects us to carry his values and standards into every area of our lives–including and especially government, which has been delegated his authority for maintaining justice, public safety and order.

      The First Amendment clearly prohibits the federal government from prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Nowhere in the Constitution or anywhere else in our foundational documents will you find anything that calls for, mandates, or even allows the exclusion of Christian values from influencing our government.

      A government devoid of moral values is the last thing we need; Marxists have tried it, and somewhere in the ballpark of 100 million dead in the last century are silent testimony to the utter bankruptcy of trying to craft an amoral government. Extremism is exemplified in the attempt to hijack the American form of government, which is based on the Christian worldview, and remake it into an amoral institution.

      As for the American government, as John Adams so wisely said, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion…Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” We cannot be a moral and religious people without the the influence of the Christian religion upon which our nation and Constitution were founded.

      No, even the least religious of the founders recognized the need for God’s wisdom and influence in our government. They never wanted or even seriously entertained the notion that our nation might someday divorce itself from Christian values; their words, deeds and actions are clear on this.

Out of respect for the Hallowed Ground there no religious symbols or buildings should be allowed.

    I’ve never been able to grasp extremism, yours or those of terrorists. I only know they both originate out of religious conviction and mis-directed spirituality. I pray God someday touches you in the kind loving and eternal way only He can. Unlike you, I’m talking about the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim God of Abraham who loves all of His people.       Islamic terrorism is definitely extreme, and Muslims most definitely do not worship the same god as Christians and Jews. Jehovah is a loving, kind and longsuffering God who is honest and patient with us wicked humans, and went so far as to send his own son to die a humiliating and painful death to purchase our pardon. Allah is a cruel, vindictive, deceitful god who leaves poor Muslims not knowing whether they have achieved his favor or not, short of killing some infidels for Allah to obtain his favor. The description of Allah in the Quran and other Muslim holy texts, when compared to the Biblical description of God, reveals these are two very different beings.

      But my values are the same ones that Christians have shared for nearly 2,000 years, and over 80% of Americans still call themselves Christians. Since you seem to reject the Christianity held by by more than 80% of your fellow Americans, apparently it is you who is outside the box. Hopefully someday he can help you get over your misguided devotion to secularism and aversion to embracing the values shared by most Americans.

      As to you question regarding the planned (but now cancelled) burning of the Quran by Pastor Terry Jones, here is your answer. I am joyful that the plan has been cancelled and I am joyful that it was brought to our attention. It provided still another incident to observe the hypocrisy of the liberal left.

      The same cronies that were shocked, dismayed and horrified by Pastor Jones’ plan are the same people that were happy that US Forces in Afghanistan had to cease the distribution of the Holy Bible in Pashto and Dari to Afghans. Those Bibles were burned but there was no outrage from the left, just smug satisfaction.

The right of this congregation to rebuild in the same area they have always been is protected by the constitution. Trying to tie this group to the thugs that caused 9/11 is the same as saying David Koresh and Jim Jones represent all Christians.

        And your comment on Afganistan and distribution of Bibles tells me that you want the U.S. to be just like these theocratic overlords in the Middle East. I am not sure where you saw smug satisfaction on the left in regard to the burning of Bibles there, but its not something I saw or heard.

We should evict all businesses from “Ground Zero” and a sufficiently respectful radius therefrom… which would be what, two blocks? ten blocks? Anywhere WTC dust fell? The entire triangle from Manhattan to the Pentagon to Shanksville, PA?

    I think that it was a poor choice of location as well. However, if we, the American People, are going to debate this cannot we even use the truth? Here are a few points that Mr. Randazzo gets completely wrong in this post:

    1) Its not a Mosque.
    2) Its not at Ground Zero.

    These points are so well known and so obvious to anyone who has read about this issue at all that I have to wonder why Mr. Randazzo made these false statements.

      1. Dictionary.com defines “mosque” as follows: a Muslim temple or place of public worship. The descriptions I’ve read clearly support that Muslims will be worshipping in the proposed structure.
      2. If the debris from the WTC fell on this building and it was condemned, it’s at ground zero.

      1) They will be worshiping Allah at the Ground Zero Victory Mosque. That makes it a mosque for all intents and purposes (not to mention the deliberate offense of celebrating the Islamic victory over us the Islamic terrorists scored on 911.

      2) It’s close enough to Ground Zero that the landing gear of one of the planes rammed into the WTC by the Islamic terrorists crashed through the roof of the building. That’s close enough.

      If living in a Marxist country isn’t good enough (re: your Marxist class-envy comment on another thread), perhaps you’d like to move to one of the enlightened bastions of technological and societal progress in the Middle East. And no, I’m not talking about Israel, but sarcastically of one of the Islamic regimes more suited to your tastes.

      Really, by the values you espouse, you must hate living in America. The rest of us love it here, and really don’t want to lower our standards to the cesspools with which you are so enamored, so it makes more sense if you leave.

            There is no “satan” in the Jewish faith. In fact, Christians borrowed the word from the Hebrew word, Ha-satan, which describes an angel who tests mankind, sometimes referred to as the adversary, but definitely not a devil. That’s a Christian creation, a distortion of the ancient Hebrew text.
