New Poll Shows Howie with Strong Lead in Senate Race

Political pundits are reeling with the latest political poll in the US Senate race, showing Gordon Howie with a commanding lead of 43% among likely voters.

Weiland seems to be stuck at 33% while Pressler and Rounds have both fallen dramatically to 8% each, with undecided voters at 6%.

Here’s the problem:  This poll was intentionally designed to produce the desired results.  It is an intentional effort to convince you that Howie is the winner and you are “wasting your vote” if you support Pressler or Rounds.

This poll was done to demonstrate how the voters are manipulated.  Soon, media reports are circulating with the latest “poll”, so voters begin to believe that voting for anyone other than the perceived “winner” is a losing proposition.  Then, an occasional “legitimate” poll is done, after voters have been sufficiently re-directed to the candidate who has been “perceived” as the winner.  All of this further convinces supporters of the “wrong” candidate they might as well stay home or vote for the lesser of two evils.  The media happily plays this game, promoting the idea that there are only three candidates from which to choose, when they know there are four.

That is exactly what political “engineers” have been doing to the voters of South Dakota.  Here are two accurate reports (there are MANY more) from voters who received calls in these kind of deceptive and flawed polls:

Voter # 1

Rasmussen Reports automated poll only gave me three choices (Rounds, Pressler and Weiland). Since they were not honest with me, I responded that I was an other than white Republican voting for Weiland who strongly disapproves of the President, Rounds, and Daugaard. They kept cycling me back to the question: Are you SURE you will vote in the race? I got a little nervous when they finally cycled me to the question: is there anything that could prevent you from voting on Election Day? Maybe I should be looking over my shoulder!

Voter # 2

“Yesterday I got a robocall doing a poll on the Senate race. It went like this: “If you do not plan on voting, please hang up. If you plan to vote for Rounds push 1, for Weiland push 2, for Pressler push 3, for Howie  push 4, if undecided push 5. Presumably the order of presentation was changed for other calls to help get a less biased survey. BUT. I pushed 4 for Gordon, and the call ignored my vote and repeated the messages. I pushed 4 again, again, again…. and continued to be ignored with the message repeating itself. I’m not sure that my vote was ever counted, which makes we wonder just how accurate this survey could possibly have been.”

Many people are swayed by such clever efforts to mislead and suppress supporters of the “wrong” candidate.  Principled voters are not.

Fear and discouragement are powerful forces.  It is why the Scriptures are filled with admonitions from God to “fear not”.

When people hold fast to their faith and principles, amazing things happen.  Good things.  Things like electing the best candidate.
