Where Do We Find Salvation?

The bottom line as many are oft to say…

… in terms of getting to what we ultimately need to know helps us as Christians to easily answer this question and that answer is Christ alone is where we find salvation. No other name (not mohammed, buddha, etc.) will take us to heaven (Acts 4:12). You can take it or leave it but if you choose to leave it or play around with this truth we may as well say our good byes now agreeing to disagree as one well turned phrase would put it. As another expression well puts it this is ‘God’s honest truth’ whether we like it or not and Christ Himself affirmed it in John 14:6.shad house ad

This truth is based on love as the cornerstone of what brings us to salvation. This is clearly shown in Romans 5:8 where the love of God through the death of His Son Christ Jesus redeemed us from sin. In a sense it is like a fireman pleading for someone in a burning building to reach out to them to find safety and so it is with us who can reject that salvation or find safety in His arms.

Recently we celebrated the death and resurrection of Christ and one evening on television I noticed two shows on TV at the same time with different messages. On one channel (I forget if it was CBS,NBC,or ABC) they chose to show a cartoon about the ‘Easter bunny’ while on one of the lesser watched religious cable channels there was the story of the power of the cross as we are told about in 1 Cor. 1:18. To mainstream media and others in places of influence it is as Paul tells us foolishness in their eyes that will lead to their (and sadly many who follow them) ultimate perishing.

Yet it is not hopeless if we can let as many know as possible that salvation can be there even to a person’s final moments as salvation by grace through faith in Christ can be ours (Eph. 2:8). Today we need to invite the Holy Spirit into our lives in order to restrain satan, convict us of our sin, and lead us to repentance (Titus 3:5) …

so that WE CAN FIND SALVATION.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY: The source of salvation lies in the Son of God alone who is Christ Jesus.

DEVOTIONAL VERSE FOR TODAY: Acts 4:12 “Christ alone saves”.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Lord thank you for my salvation.

QUESTIONS TO THINK ABOUT:

1. Have you found salvation?

2. How do you respond to those who say Christ is only one way to salvation?

3. What is the role of love in salvation or damnation?

4. Why do so many choose to make the critical message of salvation a matter of so little importance?

Good article and so important now to understand as we approach the end of time. Daniel11truth deciphers the promised book of truth now open to all to read and see verse after verse coming true. We’re nearing the abomination of desolation the our LORD told us to specifically watch for and we’re just about there. I hope anyone reading your blog and this post will search out the matter before the door is shut.
