A Kentucky Man was arrested for shooting down a drone.

Last week, William Merideth shot a drone flying over his property.  He says it was hovering over his daughter, who was sun bathing in their back yard.

The owner of the drone says he wanted to get pictures of a friend’s house.  He and three other men confronted Merideth after the shooting.  Merideth assured them that if they came on his property there would be another shooting.  The police soon arrived at the scene and arrested Merideth.  He has been charged with wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.  Merideth claims he shot straight up in the air to take down the drone, and put no one in any danger.

A couple of years ago, Liberty Today TV  produced a video discussing the use of drones.

Would you shoot a drone??   Where do our rights to privacy begin and end?  For now, that seems to be “up in the air”.  As for me, I may post a sign that reads “Drone-free zone”.
