There was quite a stir about whether Senator John McCain is a war hero.
The newest question might be, “Is Senator McCain a POLITICAL hero?”
His service to the nation as a soldier is honorable. His performance in the Senate has left many people questioning his service there. He is being challenged in the 2016 Republican primary race by Kelli Ward, an Arizona State Senator. Right now she leads him in the polls by nearly 10 points. Breitbart News reports she is currently ahead 45%-36%.
This poll is a significant change from results earlier this year, when Ward was trailing McCain 
31%-44%. The shift could indicate she has gained enough traction to actually beat McCain.
South Dakota voters might recall that their senior Senator gave an early endorsement to McCain when he ran for President. Senator John Thune will probably help him try to pull out a win in this Senate race. It might be too late. Voters might just be fed up enough to actually change the political landscape in Arizona. Maybe in the nation.
Maybe.
