Death Penalty Appropriate

Kevin Daigle shot and killed a Louisiana Trooper.

Daigle shot Trooper Steven Vincent with a shotgun, and was heard by witnesses telling him, “You’re lucky. You’re lucky. You’re going to die soon.”

Details of the shooting continue to surface, but what we know for sure is that the Trooper approached Daigle’s vehicle.  Daigle came out of the vehicle with a shotgun and killed Trooper Vincent.  Witnesses on the scene overpowered Daigle and detained him.

Vincent leaves behind a wife and a nine year old son.

If there is a place appropriate for the death penalty, this should be one.  Daigle’s own words should be pronounced over him by a presiding judge.  This should be swift and final.

I will be happy to pray for his salvation, but he should pay the supreme price for his murder of Steven Vincent.  Some will argue that taking the life of Daigle with capital punishment violates the very principle of protecting life.  Sorry, but there must be a consequence for this kind of action.

All lives matter, and Daigle should answer for his disregard for life.

A-MEN! Capital punishment is most assuredly PRO-LIFE.

It sends the clear and unmistakable message that innocent human life is so precious, anyone who deliberately takes innocent human life must make recompense by surrendering their own human life (which, incidentally, is not INNOCENT like their victim’s life was).

You don’t repay theft of monies by tossing a nickel on the counter, and you don’t repay the theft of an innocent human life with anything less than the perpetrator’s own life. Anything less is a travesty of justice and an insult to the value of innocent human life.
