Two thirds of Republican voters say they believe Republicans are not doing all they can to block the Obama Agenda.

Senator Cruz summarized it well this week…

“Republicans need to act like Republicans. Leadership needs to lead. Together we need to actually honor the commitments we made to the men and women who elected us.”

Republicans won the Senate with the battle cry, ” A vote for anyone else is a vote for Harry Reid.”  Many people realize that Harry Reid may STILL be in control of the agenda.  Cruz said that Pelosi and Reid are the “defacto leaders” of the Congress.  He said, “You want to understand why people are mind-explodingly furious with Washington?  Republican leadership has handed all of their authority to Barack Obama and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.”

The fear of going toe-to-toe with Democrats seems to have consumed all the oxygen in the room.  Republican leaders simply surrender before the battle begins because they believe it will “look bad” for them if they pass anything the President says he will veto.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said that the Senate would vote on a “clean” Continuing Resolution on Sept. 28.

It doesn’t look like Republican leaders will have a sudden strengthening of backbone over the weekend.
