Ed, I like your commentary on this and your response — clearly Kristi is doing the right thing in taking a position that a vast majority of South Dakotans agree with.

Easy to simply “repeal” when it’s a show only. The bill is solid in the Senate. And, she’s offerred nothing for solutions towards solving our health care issues. I was hoping she’d at least bring something to the table, excepting of course partisan rhetoric. Hopefully she’ll shape up in the future, or we’ll get rid of her next time she’s up for re-election.

The vote for repeal of “Obamacare” has some “show” in it, but necessary “show”. It “shows” (not just tells) the Obama administration and the liberals in the House that things have changed. No longer will they have their super majority to impose their will on the people who clearly did not want a government takeover of their healthcare. It “shows” that Kristi Noem will stand firm by her promise to vote for Obamacare repeal. No equivocation, no “let’s do it later,” no hesitation, It is a bad law that runs roughshod over individual and state’s rights. The law is so bad that scrapping it is better than trying to fix it. Our healthcare system is not broken……only government rules, involvment and bureauocracy have made it bloated, inefficient and unaffordable. Healthcare reform is needed but not the Obamacare way. Healthcare is not a right, it’s a privilege. How is it that partisanship has become evil? Partisanship is a healthy thing. It’s what we have elected representatives for. They are elected to advance the partisan beliefs and values they pledged during their campaigns. Kristi Noem needs no shape up, it is you who must accept that your candidate lost and it’s a new Congress. We will all watch as Kristi discharges her responsibilities and if she fails to continue to uphold the great values of the people of South Dakota she will not be re-elected, but she is off to a great start.

If the right wasn’t so blinded by partisan hatred they’d be able to see just how far right President Obama has moved since his campaign. He’s a very bright man, an effective leader and I think he’ll turn things around in time to be re-elected President. His speech after the Tuscon shooting was brilliant.

So you must be an unhappy person. Your progressive hero has moved to the right. Perish, the thought!!! He’s as bright as he needs to be to keep the illusion of progress and mask his failed philosophy. He’s a community organizer who will morph into anything to advance his Marxist, America-hating agenda. Speeches are words. What has he done to create jobs? Remember his State of the Union address last year? Jobs was to be his primary focus, or so he said. Not to worry, he’ll roll that one out again on Tuesday. He is seducing the CEO’s into his administration to create the illusion that he is going to focus on job creation……again. But those huge multi-national corporations are not the job creators. They, in fact, are the job exporters. The small business owners and entrepreneurs are the job creators. Obama will say he supports them but his actions and policies do the opposite. Your hero is an anti-American progressive globalist. You are his foil. But you will have another opportunity to gush over his rhetorical skills. Do you feel a tingling down your leg, Inde?

Did you see the State of the Union Address? Did you catch the part about all of us, regardless of political or religoius views being part of the “American family?” We must all work together, as we have in the past. Unfortunately that’s not possible in your world. I guess the majority of us will leave you fundamentalists behind as we move forward with this great nation of ours.
