Run, Hide Or Shoot?

What should you do?

Waiving a white flag will not save your life.

Shouting to a terrorist that you support restrictions on gun ownership will not save you either.  So what should you do?

Sheriff Joe Arpaio belives you should shoot.

The hard truth is that law enforcement generally shows up AFTER the shooting has taken place.  That’s not an indictment on law enforcement, it’s just a fact.  A responsible gun owner could stop a terrorist in the meantime.  The Sheriff is correct, even though the media and anti-gun advocates attempt to dismiss this solution.

Gun free zones are like a feeding station for vultures.  Responsible gun owners can change the outcome.

Carry your weapon, and be prepared to use it.

So, if this works so well, why isn’t it happening more? I’m pretty sure that if it happened even once, Fox and conservative media would have blasted it and repeated it ad nauseum. My friend, a former prosecutor, says that shooting back works on teehee but not in real life for one simple reason. The shooter has already decided he is going to kill somebody. He goes into a room and starts firing. Down the hallway, the proverbial good guy with a gun hears it. He runs to the room. He clicks off the safety. He steps into the room and in the split second it takes him to survey the situation, decide whether to shoot, and decide who to shoot, and whether he has a good shot, he’s dead. That split second head start is fatal. I don’t want good guys with guns charging into a room and firing at random, and I’d guess you don’t either.

Then there was a guy at the shooting at Oregon lately who HAD a gun but decided not to use it because he thought that when the cops come through the door and he’s standing there with a gun, the cops are going to shoot HIM.

Let’s try to figure out some solutions with a better chance of working.
