When the Messiah appears for the second time, many Jews and Gentiles will realize they missed him the first time. At that point, it will be too late.

I encourage you to read his Word and accept the truth that Yeshua of Nazareth was indeed the Messiah.

      Bob,
You are wrong Bob. When the King of the Jews arrives you will abandon your current beliefs the instant you lay eyes on Him, and come home to Him.

    Bob,

I’m talking about you’re description of God, or Jesus. Your words were “mealy mouthed push-over.” You called Him that, or God that, or which ever member of your Trinity you’re referring to now.

    Jesus was a pacifist Bob.

“Do not think I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.”

    Jesus Christ
    Matthew 5:17

The Jewish God of Abraham is who you’re apparently jumping back and forth from. And no, He is not a “mealy-mouthed push over.”

    • October 4, 2010 at 7:13 am

You are the one who indicated you believe God is a mealy-mouthed pushover.

Jesus most certainly was not a pacifist; not in the strictest sense, nor in the sense of the modern yellow pacifist. He wasn’t a pacifist when he knocked over tables and drove the vultures out of the Temple, nor was he one when he said, “I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”

And he definitely will not be one when he returns to earth to judge those who refused his truth.

When the Messiah, or King of the Jews appears for the first and only time, all of mankind will know and accept Him. There will finally be peace on earth among all men.

    Bob,
    Those are your words my brother, not mine, and your threats, not God’s. As one of God’s chosen people, quite capable of doing His work in any manner which I might be compelled by divine right, I offer you this;

“Do not think I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.”

    Jesus Christ
    Matthew 5:17

I’m sorry, but you didn’t stick with the reply thread, and I don’t know what you’re talking about, so I can’t properly respond.

I’m sure you are quite wrong about it, whatever it is, because you have been wrong about almost every single thing you have said here.

    Bob,
You said God is a “mealy-mouthed pushover,” not me. I know God is capable of correcting your behavior, but He will let you learn His lesson in His own time.

    • September 29, 2010 at 12:30 pm

Actually you have made it abundantly clear that you believe God is a mealy-mouthed pushover who can be fooled by the prattle and deceptions you spout with regularity. He isn’t fooled by your deceptions the way you hope the rest of us are.

He doesn’t like it when you behave that way about him, and someday you’ll give account for demeaning his character in that fashion.

You should repent now while you still can.

    Howie,
You are no more noble than the homeless person living under the bridges along Rapid Creek. In fact, Jesus wold most assuredly prefer the company of the homeless people, as he did in the Bible. None of us is anything other than a man until we are judged by God. The “truths”you think I know, I know in my heart and they are universal truths, open for all men not blinded by self-judgments and the self-appointed sense of privilege and divinity they have bestowed upon themselves.

The “anynomous card” is played out Gordon, especially on the web and blog sites. We all vote in anonymity, behind curtains in the “darkness” of a voting booth.

    Bob,
There you go again, passing judgement on others, inferring something of which you know nothing. Should a Rabbi or other man of God’s word read all the posts you and I have written, they would correctly conclude it is you who is wandering in the darkness, searching for God’s light.

May the God of Abraham bless you Bob.

    • September 28, 2010 at 6:28 pm

I do not pass judgment. God has done and is doing that. And he told his followers what is right and what is wrong, and how to recognize it. In fact, God told us to exercise the good sense and information he gave us (1 Corinthians 6, 1 Corinthians 10).

He also told us to offer correction to someone walking in Wickedness (inc. Ezekiel 3:18).

If you genuinely think God is some mealy-mouthed pushover, you’re going to be sorely mistaken when you stand before him. I hope you accept his Truth before that day.

I think it would be interesting to know why some people, who claim to know “truth” do not use their name when posting. Obviously, it allows them to say whatever they wish under a veil of anonymity. Thanks to all of you who have the courage of convictions to stand openly for your beliefs.
People of conviction and truth are willing to stand openly for what they believe. Those less noble always choose the cover of darkness.

    Bob,

I’m in tune with the Jewish people because I am Jewish. I keep my Tanakh by my beside.

If you’d care to expand your mind a bit on our God, the God of Abraham, I would suggest reading “Why The Jews Rejected Jesus,” by David Klinghoffer. It is the definitive book of our era on the Jews and their researched and documented rejection of Jesus as divine. You will definitely learn something about the origin of your chosen faith, as well as the facts behind the rejection.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, a lack of divinity doesn’t render Jesus’ words any less meaningful. And it is rather humorous seeing you accept the Jews while patently rejecting Muslims without any basis, excepting the actions of the minute faction of Islam responsible for terrorism against Jews and Christians.

One God, three religions Bob. Like it or not, it’s all part of Gods’ plan.

    • September 26, 2010 at 1:10 pm

Again, if you are Jewish, and since you are so enamored with Islam, I’d recommend you appeal to your Islamic brethren to stop trying to murder your own people.

For that matter, if you really are Jewish, you should repent immediately for worshiping the false god of Allah. You should know that God is a jealous God and isn’t cool with you your acceptance of a false god.

Regarding Jesus, he was either a liar, a lunatic, or really was the Lord he claimed to be–but he couldn’t be worth listening to unless he was Lord. He claimed to be the divine Son of God, to be one with God. If he was not and knew he was not, then he was a liar; liars don’t make good people to listen to (you illustrate that resoundingly every time you write here). If he was not one with God but thought he was, then he was a lunatic; again, crazy people don’t make good moral teachers (or teachers of anything). But if he really was one with God–and I am convinced he was–then you should listen to him. You should acknowledge that he is THE way, THE truth and THE life; no one comes to the Father but through him, and certainly not through the false god of Islam.

I sincerely hope you’ll realize the error of your ways, stop following your dark father and follow the true Father.

  14. September 25, 2010 at 7:49 am

The Jews are God’s chosen people. Since you are so enamored with Islam, you should tell your Islamic brothers to stop trying to kill God’s chosen people.

Just because the majority of Jews haven’t accepted Yeshua as Messiah is no reason to try and kill them. Even your Islamic brothers don’t accept him as Messiah, and we aren’t trying to kill you Muslims because you won’t accept Jesus.

Repent while you can, Independent. When you slip from this world to stand before your Maker, it will be too late.

    Bob,
Muslims do not accept Jesus, Jews also do not accept Jesus as the son of God. But since Jesus was Jewish, and Christianity is built upon the Jewish religion, you tolerate the Jews. One day the God of Abraham will return to unite all of his children, including Muslims and the rest of the world.

    Bob,
One day people of God will be referring to “Judeao-Christian-Islamic values.” The God of Abraham commands it.

    • September 24, 2010 at 5:49 am

If they do, they will be referring to a heresy, because Islamic values have nothing to do with Judeo-Christian ones.

      Remember Matthew 7:15…

The God of Abraham lives in all three of His religions, and in the hearts of all men. He is the one true God of the universe. Misguided Christian men such as yourself, as well as Muslim extremists who kill in His name shall one day feel the wrath of God.

You may follow the god of Islam, because he is a deceiver like you, but your words indicate you are not a follower of the God of Abraham, or the people of Israel, or Christians.

    Bob,
God live in me, in my heart. He doesn’t live in your Bible, or your church, or in your fear mongering and graceless thoughts for those who don’t believe what you do. God lives in the hearts of men of all religions. God loves everyone equally. Just as the sun, rain and nature do not show favortism towards one man or another, neither does God. And now you’re starting to get it, God is inconsistent, only because man has twisted His word. Men like you have unknowingly allowed this to happen, blasphemy in the name of God. Someday God will reach you!
Honestly Bob, you are going to be enlightened one day.

    • September 21, 2010 at 12:27 pm

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. (Psalm 119:11) Get his word into your heart, and you’ll have Christ in your heart.

As for your false claim that “God lives in the hears of men of all religions,” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 8:44) and It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth…Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:9-12)

Do you know what Jesus said of those who attempt to deceive people away from his truth? You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44) And Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.(Matthew 7:15)

I’d give that some serious thought, “Independent.” Doing things your way instead of God’s way will put you deep in the hurt locker.

  21. September 18, 2010 at 8:17 am

Why don’t you be honest for once, Independent. Your comments spread here and there seem designed (despite their obvious inconsistencies) to portray yourself as someone who is a follower of God.

If that is the case, why are you following a God who, in your own words, condones hatred for no apparent reason?

Why don’t you come clean and admit you are not a Christian, that you despise God and his teachings. At least we could dialog honestly with one another then.

    Bob,

I beg to differ. I offer Luke 14:26 to argue my point.

” If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.”

Jesus commands us to love our enemies, but in this instance seems to be ordering his disciples to abandon every cherished relationship they have. He’s actually condoning hatred, for no apparent reason.

Plato never penned anything as confusing as this, and he never made any claims of divinity, as far as I can tell. Perhaps this is why Thomas Jefferson penned his own version of the Bible and removed all mention of the Trinity, miracles and Jesus claims of divinity, which were added long after his death. Many religious scholars believe Jesus never actually claimed he was divine. The Jefferson Bible is much closer to the true word of Jesus than whatever version you are using. If Jesus’ word had not been perverted in this manner by self-serving disciples born long after Jesus’ death, and had been more accurately depicted as in Thomas Jefferson’s version, the world would indeed be a much better place. And persons like yourself certainly would not believe themselves to be spiritually superior, or more in keeping with God’s word simply because they are Christians. Simply put, Christians would act like Christ did instead of trying to follow the confusing and often hypocritical writings of men who never laid eyes on Christ, or heard Him preach.

Plato has a lot in common with Jesus. Both men left great wisdom behind for all men to learn from. It’s ironic the true messages of both men have been lost, distorted and perverted by the actions of those who believe it is possible for one man to be “superior” to another.

    • September 16, 2010 at 7:12 am

It is precisely because we have lost touch with the message of Christ (Galatians 3:28)–who was far more than even Plato could ever dream of being–that we have re-entered a world where some feel entitled to rule over those they consider inferior.

No, it is because we have become impatient waiting for the Jewish Messiah to come, that we have begun worshipping the false King of the Jews, before He has arrived. He will come and set the world straight one day, rest assured.

Long before you or I were born Jesus’ own people, the Jews held numerous inquisitions, did endless hours of praying and research, most of it conducted by the High Priests and greatest religious minds in the world at that time, and they all concluded Jesus was not the Messiah. For starters, it is written in the ancient Tankh that when the Messiah comes there will be peace on earth among all men. Look around, is this what you see? There are countless other reasons, all spelled out, historically accurate and painstakingly articulated in David Klinghoffer’s book, “Why The Jew Rejected Jesus.” If you’d truly like to know whatbiblical history in fact teaches us, read it. If you don’t care to be challenged, or aren’t prepared to question your faith then do not read the book. But know it exists, and so do the facts of biblical history.

Jesus was a good Jew, until he began listening to people with little or no faith in God, telling him he was more than just a Jew. But he is still one of God’s chosen people, and he will be forgiven for the error of his ways when the Messiah comes to earth.
