Hopefully, they will now focus on solutions.

I’ll admit I didn’t listen to the entire evening of speeches.  The theme of the evening, however, was anti Clinton/Obama.  Maybe that will be enough for some people.  I am looking for something more.

Melania Trump was an obvious hit.  No surprise there.  All she really needed to do was stand there and smile.  To her credit, she was more than just beautiful.  She did a nice job delivering her speech.  It wasn’t a great speech or a great delivery but her poise, grace and beauty obviously won over the audience.

The others I listened too were intent on bashing the competition.  It was probably by design.  They could be just “setting the table” for speakers to come, who will deliver some substance.  I hope so.

Republicans need to outline a specific agenda and make a commitment to America.

• Repeal Dodd-Frank

• Reduce tax rates (specifically capital gains taxes)

• Promote coal, oil & gas productions including a menu of specific deregulation

• ONLY Conservative, Pro-life, constitution supporting Supreme Court nominees

• Specific immigration and border control proposals

• Repeal (and NOT replace) Obamacare

• End Common Core and return education control to parents, teachers and school boards

There are certainly other things they could include as part of a specific commitment to America, but these would be a good start.

I am hoping for substance, specifics and commitment.
