Did You Eat Today?

I enjoyed a marvelous meal last night.

Pulled pork over a jalapeno waffle topped with barbeque sauce and haystack onions, fries with sea salt and coleslaw.  It really was wonderful.

It made me think about just how blessed I am and how blessed America has been.  In other parts of the world, people are literally starving.

Actually, even in America, some go to sleep hungry.

I enjoy the blessing of God.  It makes me want to be a better man and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Funny what a good meal will do.

Yes, we eat better than Kings and Queens of a hundred years ago — AND yes, we should be thankful to God for the very many things He provides: Eyesight, hearing, taste, touch, smell, so many things we have to enhance our lives that many of us take for granted. Then there is the Atonement and forgiveness of sins — WOW. The list is too long to name. However there is also a part of all those blessings that makes me a tad bit nervous. In Luke 12:48 talks about Where much is given, much is required. I have been given very much and I need to give back — I need to volunteer, I need to help my fellow man, I need to be more kind, I need to be more compassionate, I need to have charity I need to do so much more!!!
