Will Republicans Keep Their Promise To Repeal ObamaCare?

America is watching.

Unhappiness with the Republican establishment is growing in conservatives circles.  The House Freedom Caucus and a small number of conservative Senators are attempting to hold Republican leaders responsible to make good on their promise to repeal ObamaCare.

Mushy Republicans have been hedging their promises to repeal ObamaCare for several years.  While America was demanding a repeal, these mushy Republicans came up with a way to tell voters what they wanted to hear without really making a solid commitment.  How did they manage that?

Repeal……..and replace.

Voters heard them say “Repeal”, and gave them the benefit of the doubt on just what “replace” actually meant.  BIG mistake.

Now we are beginning to see what “replace” could look like.  The Ryan/Trump bill might give mushy Republicans the cover they want, and allow them to claim they repealed ObamaCare.  The bill that has been previously passed by the House was a clean bill to repeal.  That was when there was no chance the repeal would pass a Democrat-controlled Senate.  Now that Republicans are in charge, the mushy Republicans have changed their tune.

They really want to KEEP parts of ObamaCare, under the guise of “replace”.

Senators Paul, Cruz and Lee are standing their ground.  The members of the House Freedom Caucus are standing their ground.  I am praying they don’t fold.

We need a clean repeal, not a mushy “replace”.

The best method, I believe, is to go back to what we had in the olden days. Most people carried insurance that would cover them if there were something major that struck ie cancer, myocardial infarction (heartattack) surgery – anything major and then one paid out of pocket for a Doctors visit. People wouldn’t be going to a Doctor for every little sniffle like they do now with full coverage for everything and costs would come down.

The insurance that is mandated now only provides for hospitals and hospital executives to make enormous amounts of cash

    Yes, REPEAL, don’t replace Obamacare
