A Few Bumps For Trump Supporters

Some questions for Trump supporters…

I would like to know if any of this bothers you (or not).

Dina Powell is “friends” with Valerie Jarrett, former power broker in the Obama Administration who is currently living with the Obamas.  She is also “friends” with Arianna Huffington.  Powell has been made Deputy National Security Advisor in the Trump Administration.

Gary Cohn is currently a registered Democrat.  He is close with Jared Kushner, The President’s son-in-law, who is also currently a registered Democrat.

Bringing Kushner, Ivanka, Powell and Cohn into the inner circle has caused some turbulence in the back rooms of the Trump Administration.  It is also causing some concern for some Trump supporters.

Investigative Journalist Lee Stranahan (familiar to many South Dakotans) has been looking at this, and shared some of what he is learning in this CNN interview.  Lee’s remarks begin at about 2:22 in this video.

It appears that Steve Bannon (from the right) has been diminished while Kushner, Ivanka, Powell and Cohn (from the middle or the left) have been elevated and made much more significant.

Very interesting.

Trump supporters, what do you think about this?

looks like Trump will have a better chance of repealing Obama care with the Dems than the so called conservatives.

Depends on whether you think it’s a good idea to reach across the aisle to see if you can negotiate and make things happen. If you think that’s a good idea, then it’s a good idea for Trump to have some Democrats whom he trusts in his circle. If you think it’s a bad idea to try to break the partisan gridlock in Washington, then by all means rachet up the use of purity tests.

Many Trump supporters got more than they bargained for. My prayer is that he is effective in moving our nation in the right direction. I expect he will not perfectly represent all of my views. I just hope and pray that it is a net positive.
