Send Veterans To Community Hospitals

Does VA hospitals adequately serve American Veterans?

Many people would agree, the answer is “No”.

Is the taxpayer getting sufficient bang for the buck?  Again, the answer is “No”.  We spend about $180 Billion dollars per year to fund the VA health care system.  That makes it the second largest department in the Federal government.

A more efficient way to deliver health care (BETTER health care) to Veterans would be to give them vouchers they could use at the facility of their choice.  It might be a radical thought, but could we (and should we) close VA hospitals and go 100% to a voucher system to take care of veterans?

This video by Prager University explores the issue.

With the poor performance by the government in it’s providing of health care to Veterans, it is time to look at some alternative methods of delivery.  Veterans deserve better.

So do taxpayers.
