God Is… There

Image result for god is thereGod “is” “There”. “Is” meaning ; “existing in this moment of time“, and “the substance, characteristics, and/or character of a thing”. God “is” a “right now”, “in this moment” God; alive, active and available to us. His “substance”, “characteristics”, and “character” is “There”.But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,…..” Hebrews 11:6
Ezekiel 48:35 (NKJV)

“All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.”

….the name of the city from that day shall be: (Jehovah Shammah) THE LORD IS THERE.

Ezekiel is speaking prophetically of the return of the people from their captivity under Nebuchadnezzar and the rebuilding of Jerusalem. The name “(Jehovah Shammah) THE LORD IS THERE” is a designation of the place where His Presence will reside. In the New Testament, we have some scriptures that also designate the “place” for the dwelling place of His Presence:

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever– the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:15-18 (NKJV)

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NKJV)

What if we get a solid revelation of the fact that God Himself dwells in us 24/7/365; that He “is” THERE? You might say; “But there are times when I don’t feel like He is there”. We have those times, and in them we need to understand that whether we “feel” like God is “there” or not, He “is”. Our “feelings” have nothing to do with “where” He is; He fully dwells within us whether we “feel” like it or not.

Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV)
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Our “faith” cannot be based in how we “feel”, but in the reality that He “is”. He is “THERE”, wherever our “there” is.

“Where” are you (literally or figuratively) right now? THE LORD IS THERE.

Our concept of His “isness”; the manner in which we define His nature, substance, characteristics, and character, and the way we “receive” His “isness” into our life and depend on (have faith in) it, will be the role that we “anticipate/expect” or “will allow” God to play in our lives.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,…..” God “is” “There”.

…For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:6)
