American Leaders Make Us Proud

Most people do not wonder why America is in deep trouble.  If you are one of the few who are still wondering, see what our leaders have to say.  You will wonder no more!

President Barack Obama

#1. I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.” #2.  “I opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. It should be repealed and I will vote for its repeal on the Senate floor. I will also oppose any proposal to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban gays and lesbians from marrying.” #3. “I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.” #4. “The United States is not, and never will be, at war with Islam.” #5. “What do you think a stimulus is? It’s spending – that’s the whole point! Seriously.”  And there are so many more….

Senator Harry Reid

#1. “But for me, we would be in a world wide depression.”  #2.  “This flu is going to strike us all, me, my children, my grandchildren, and if they get it, half of them are going to die.”

Representative Nancy Pelosi

#1. “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it”

Representative Barney Frank

#1. “These two entities—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—are not facing any kind of financial crisis,”

Representative Maxine Watters

#1. “as far as I’m concerned, the ‘tea party’ can go straight to Hell.”

Vice President Joe Biden

#1.Just talk to me as a father – not what the Constitution says. What do you feel?”  #2. “You know we’re going to control the insurance companies.”  #3. “I got tested for AIDS. I know Barack got tested for AIDS. There’s no shame in being tested for AIDS. It’s an important thing.” #4. “This is a big f***ing deal.”  And there are so many more…

Senator Barbara Boxer

# 1.”Could you say ‘senator’ instead of ‘ma’am? It’s just a thing. I worked so hard to get that title. I’d appreciate it.”

 South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson

#1. Unless things change radically, President Bush will be the first President since Herbert Hoover to have presided over a net loss of jobs during his administration.”

Can we PLEASE replace these people??

Good grief, Gordon. You beat the same memes that have nothing to do with either fact or policy.

One specific: are you suggesting that being tested for AIDS is bad? What’s the policy impact of taking a preventative health measure? I had to take an AIDS test when I worked in Russia in 1997. Does that make me unfit for public office?

Do you plan to run for office? I am assuming your AIDS test went well for you. I suppose I could have attached some policy stuff too, but don’t you think it is just a little bit funny that Harry Reid saved the world from economic disaster and Barney Frank assured us Fannie & Freddie were just fine?
