PRESIDENTIAL HUBRIS

In the familiar shameless manner of the liberal left, President Obama seized the occasion of the end of American combat operations in Iraq to try to advance his domestic socialist agenda.

His emotionless “praise” of George W. Bush, whose advancement of the surge in Iraq made this cessation of American combat operations possible, is disingenuous in light of Obama’s vigorous opposition to the surge as a senator and presidential candidate. He was dead wrong then and he is dead wrong now to exploit this day.

This day belonged to the American heroes who fought for Iraqi freedom from tyranny, not to a president not even willing to take ownership of his bad judgment in opposing the financing of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the surge that has led to this day.

The hubris of the man to diminish the accomplishments and sacrifices of our American military and their families by lecturing us on the state of our economy and scolding that we must get our economic house in order when it is his socialist agenda that will retard economic recovery anytime soon.
