Black Hills Military Appreciation Ball Is November 1 in Rapid City

military-ballYou are invited  to the Black Hills Military Appreciation Ball. It will be a special event and a chance to Reflect on South Dakota’s contributions to Operation Enduring Freedom.  All military service members as well community members are welcome.

        The Ball is an opportunity to commemorate sacrifice, commitment and support of the Black Hills men and women, soldiers and airmen, as well as their families to our county’s military efforts. The hope is to bring together any military stationed in the Black Hills, as well as veterans/retirees of all ages, and local community members to recognize the significant role we all play in the defense of our nation.

 images-3    This first year we will be highlighting South Dakota’s Contributions to Operation Enduring Freedom and will feature live music from the South Dakota National Guard Band and guest speaker Combat Veteran and former Dallas Cowboy Chad Hennings. Excellence isn’t a destination; it’s an identity. Chad Hennings has lived this message.

     He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force 110829-F-FD024-001Academy. After graduation and before his notable nine-year NFL career which included three Super Bowl Championships, Chad entered flew 45 missions as an A-10 Air Force pilot in support of Operation Provide Comfort in northern Iraq.
