The Secret Life Of Annette Bosworth

Our under cover cameras took a paparazzi peek at Annette Bosworth.

Bosworth is facing several (twelve) felony charges for a technicality over 37 legitimate registered voter petition signatures on her recent run for US Senate.  We thought it might be worth pursuing her in a normal day, to see what the life of an accused felon looks like from the inside.

5:00 am Her day started with a juvenile chauffer.  bosA very young man to be trusted with driving Ms. Bosworth.  It turned out to be her son, Prescott.  He is buyingjust 14 years old and recently passed his driving test.  Bosworth was overheard telling a convenience store clerk that 5:15 was the only time Sioux Falls streets were not too busy for him to drive.  No real story there.

5:30 am The destination… bosFor one hour, mother and son participate in a personal work out exercise at Cross Fit.  Is this kind of activity really SAFE for a 14 year old, even under a mothers supervision?

bos6:30 am Our under cover camera sneaks a shot through the living room window, catching ANOTHER young boy, Chancellor, practicing piano.  He and his brother Walker are both up and showered, but Chancellor is still wearing his pajamas (His grandma, Rose made them).  It seems a bit cruel to this reporter that a juvenile would be forced to practice the piano before breakfast.

6:50 am Bosworth hits the kitchen and makes her family a protein shake with an avocado in it. Isn’t she a DOCTOR?  Is this really a healthy breakfast??

7:00 am The family car leaves the driveway (There appears to be only ONE car for this busy family) with one of the children.  It appears to be Prescott and his father.  We follow them on this early morning drive, but nothing unusual seems to be happening.  Prescott has an early rehearsal at his school for jazz band.

7:15 am  Back at the house, Bosworth appears to be in a hurry.  By the time the family car returns home, the other two boys and Bosworth are whisked into it for another early morning destination.  As we pursue the car, it turns in to a local drive through coffee place, then quickly returns to the highway.  We are able to stay close enough behind the car for our spy-microphone to pick up what is going on in the car.  The children are being subjected to a SPELLING DRILL.  Our sources have discovered that some of the children are auditory learners, so they are routinely subjected to these oral drills.  As they near their destination (the school house), the drill ends and the kids are rewarded with a short jam session on the local Christian radio station.

8:10 am  The children have all been dispersed.  Bosworth and her husband next stop to pick up mail.  On the drive, our microphones hear them in conversation and listening to a morning devotion.  Chad (husband) is heard saying “One good thing… if they send you to jail you will have time to answer all the mail from people who are writing to support you”.  If there was a response from Bosworth, the traffic muffled her reply.

8:50 am  Bosworth is in her office at the clinic.  Opening mail, gathering information for her lawyers and reviewing clinic outcomes and patient files.bosHer first patient is an addict.  He wants help to stop using the opiates he is addicted to.  Bosworth spends nearly an hour and a half with him, explaining medical outpatient alternatives to a treatment program.  It doesn’t seem quite “normal” for a doctor to spend so much time with one patient.  That turns out to be common for Bosworth.  She only sees two more patients before noon.  Hardly the practice of someone who is chasing the dollar.  She actually seems to CARE about her patients… each one of them.  This is all very puzzling.

12:00 am Meeting with a medial organization.  Bosworth is noticeably quiet, but attentive.  She seems to be suspicious of the leadership serving this organization.  They are an organization that purports to advocate for physicians.  Our research shows that the wife of the executive director has a job that appears to conflict with this mission.  The executive directors wife has a job “policing” doctors.  Perhaps that is why Bosworth didn’t have much to say at the meeting.

The rest of the “work day” is spent seeing patients at her clinic.  As our camera crew gets ready to call it a day around 5:00 pm, they discover the Bosworth day is far from over!

After the clinic hours, Bosworth stays busy with family activities.  Three active sons in a variety of school and recreational pursuits keep her on the move through the evening hours.

But her work day isn’t over yet either!  Around 7:00 pm she drives to the home of an elderly woman (93 year old mother of a Bosworth patient) who hasn’t been acting right.  She has already been in the hospital twice this year.  Dr. Boz discovers that the woman has a battery from her hearing aid lodged in her ear.  That will require attention tomorrow in the clinic. bos8:30 pm All the lights go out at the Bosworth home.  Our undercover crew finally calls it a day.  At our debriefing, they have more questions for me than they do about their assignment to follow Dr. Annette Bosworth.

The most pressing question seems to be, “How can the State of South Dakota justify spending the time, energy and money to pursue this seemingly decent, caring family woman on 12 felony charges over an insignificant technicality regarding nominating petitions?”

I do not have an acceptable answer for them.

What is the quantity of state resources ($$) that has been wasted on this matter?? Perhaps it is time to drop the charges and move on.

Politics is a subject I avoid with great fervor. Politics means only people with money or agendas other than serving the people; people with the need to have power over others, not the need to lead others; people who do not stand for the constitution of this country. When you stand up for yourself, particularly as a woman, you may make history, but you won’t make friends.

This is the most absurd charge ever!! I’m sick of so called responsible leaders who have NO common sense. I’m tired of paying taxes for nonsense. It is absurd to prosecute someone for 37 signatures! That is idiocy at play. Surely petitions passed around in meetings are not all personally witnessed. I would expect more brains from Jackley than that. But obviously he doesn’t have it esp when one looks at the scandal with the foster family who was abusing foster children. Where are his values?? One only needs to see the caring Dr Bosworth has for people–something Jackley doesn’t have. I wonder if he has donated any of his time to help and give assistance to people?

And to think Marty Jackley and the Dr. Bosworth haters want to put Annette in prison for 24 years and take her medical license away? How cruel can you get. The hundreds of thousands of dollars being spent by the state is outrageous.
