A CALL TO PRAYER

By Ed Randazzo

In light of the tragic and disgusting event yesterday in Tucson, Arizona, let us take time today to pray for the victims and their families and loved ones.

At times like this, we are reminded of the presence of evil in this world and the real consequences of its manifestations. No one should ever be a victim of violence for their political beliefs.

Some will use this tragic event to advance their agenda of limiting the liberties and freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution. Let us be mindful that no amount of legislation, attempts to control or suppress thought or limitation of free speech and discourse will ever prevent or eliminate these indefensible acts of people.

As we go about our lives today, please remember to pray for these innocent and blameless victims of this tragic attack and the very real human tragedies it has caused among the families, friends and, as Americans, all of us.
