Higher Taxes In South Dakota

The Governor wants yet another tax increase.

Republicans and Democrats locked arms in committee to increase your sales tax.

This after HUNDREDS of MILLIONS in tax increases that have already passed during the Daugaard administration.

HB 1182 will raise your taxes… again.  This increase in sales tax will take over $107 MILLION dollars out of your pocket.

The House will vote TODAY on this tax increase.  If you think you have been taxed enough already, take a minute to tell these Legislators to vote “NO” on HB 1182.  You can copy and paste this complete list (paste it into your BLIND copy email recipient) and tell them what you think.

Republicans could STOP this tax increase.  Unfortunately, it is our REPUBLICAN Governor who is proposing this latest tax increase.  Unfortunately, EVERY Republican in committee voted for it. They won’t stop it unless YOU do something NOW.

The arrogance of establishment Republicans is over the top.  Suggesting that we area not taxed enough yet, is bad enough.  But even the language in the bill should offend freedom minded patriots.

“There is hereby imposed a tax upon the privilege of engaging in business..”

Seriously??  Engaging in business is now a “privilege”??  Engaging in business is a RIGHT, not a privilege.  Furthermore, this right does NOT come from government.  Who do these people think they are?  South Dakota Republicans need to READ the Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men..”

Tell your Legislators you have had enough!

    This tax increase for raising teacher pay is just a smoke screen, in the end,teachers will benefit very little from this move. State government will be the big winner at the end of the day.

    Some people complain about the lack of Democrats in South Dakota government. They need not. “Republicans” are already carrying out their agenda for them.
