Get the US Out of NATO Before It’s Too Late

expansionThe once powerful military alliance known as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was signed into effect on April 4, 1949.  It made sense back then, as the newly empowered United States led a hodgepodge of war-crippled Western European nations against a menacing Soviet Union.

NATO was the second such pan-European model during the 1940s, the first being the military unification established by the Germans, from Greece to the English Channel.  The Axis powers—led by Germany, Italy, and Japan—sought to turn back the tide of Communist expansion issuing from WWI Bolshevism.

At the end of WWII, the Soviet Union was geographically well-placed to lead the hard Left into bringing eastern Europe into their sphere. The soft Left was conceded to the rest of Europe and the New Deal US.   The “Cold War “ was the name given to this struggle.

Today the European Union is based on economics, with the 28-nation NATO as its martial defense.  But does the US still have to lead NATO as it once did?  Should it even stay a member?  Isn’t it time for the US to cut off financial and military aid to a Europe that now has the resources to muster its own defenses?

Europe is actually being made weaker by its dependence on the US.  A sense of self-reliance and ethnic identity is being less forcefully cultivated.  This has  been dramatically revealed in its inability to hold back the invasion of Europe by Muslims and other Third World migrants.  Yes, “Western Europe Is Suffering the Fate of the American Indian.”  If NATO doesn’t change soon, Europe will be lost as we’ve known it, though the tourist culture will continue for a while longer.

The Russian Federation must be overjoyed by the army of migrants that will keep NATO directed elsewhere.   Let’s hope that a European-only NATO will discover its latent strength to keep itself free and its identity intact.  The US is an impotent ally, one that has been unable to figure out how to win wars, despite an overwhelming arsenal advantage, since WWII.

right  Europe had better oust the US while there is still time to bootstrap itself.  A European-only NATO may still have a chance. The US will gain nothing by pouring more money and blood into a conflicted Europe.  Real US patriots won’t let this happen.  If called up to die for a liberal utopian ideal, next time the freedom cry of “Hell No, We Won’t Go!” will come from the new American Right, not the two-party establishment Left. The US and Canada should get out of NATO before it’s too late.
