This morning, God was with me for breakfast.
That will surprise some, and others will brand me an extreme lunatic. Nonetheless, its true.
God has promised He will be with me always (even for breakfast). He said He would NEVER leave me nor forsake me. When Jesus left this earth after His crucifixion and resurrection, He sent the Holy Spirit to LIVE inside me.
Some days it doesn’t feel like God is “with” me. I choose not to live by feelings. I choose, instead, to live by faith… believing what God has said and what He has promised. Imagine how life would be if we really lived in the reality that God is with us. I have not arrived. My human-ness keeps me from enjoying the fullness of the presence of God which is always with me. That doesn’t change the fact that He is, indeed, with me always.
Even for breakfast.
