Longhorn beef is the best choice. It even beats Chicken and Bison!!
Dr. Joseph Graham is a Cardiovascular Surgeon at St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. This is what he had to say: “Longhorn meat on the average, contains 10 percent less saturated fat than that of other cattle. That puts lean Longhorn beef on par with skinned boneless white meat of chicken and that fact may come as a surprise to many dieticians.”
When it comes to fat and cholesterol, Longhorn beef is still an excellent choice. On balance, Longhorn beef is the BEST overall choice for healthy eating. What’s more… it tastes good!
If that were the end of the advantages, it would be enough. BUT… then there is the horn, the color and the disposition. I fell in love the first time I saw some Longhorn steers.
