The Content Of Their Character

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream.

So do I.

Dr. King spoke about his dream for America,

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

If you haven’t heard his ” I have a dream” speech, it is well worth a listen.

I certainly agree with him.  While we still have much work to do, I personally believe we have come a long way as a nation toward that ultimate goal.

My dream is not all that different.  I dream that one day we will live in a nation where we choose political candidates and leaders, not by the Party with which they are affiliated, but by the content of their personal character.

At this moment in time, it is certainly little more than a dream.
