Uranium, Hillary Clinton, Senator Mike Rounds and Russia

Is there a connection?

In April of 2015 we reported on the South Dakota uranium issue.  Now, with reports of Russia owning 20% of America’s uranium and the Clinton “pay to play” scandal, it may be time to take another look at then-Governor Mike Rounds possible connection with a Russian uranium deal.  Many people would be interested to know what kind of campaign contributions were made to Rounds by people and organizations with ties to uranium deals.  Take a look at our 2015 report and see if it raise any questions in your mind.  We invited Rounds to answer some questions posed in that report.  He didn’t comment.  The offer is still open if he has anything to say.

Does Russia Own South Dakota Uranium Interests?

US Senator Mike Rounds might know.

Do you see any similarity in the Logo?   Is there an ownership connection?

If Senator Rounds doesn’t know, it wouldn’t be difficult for him to find out.  His sister and brother-in-law worked for Powertech in 2008.  We have not checked to see if they are still employed by the company.  South Dakotans would likely find it very interesting to know if there is a “Russian connection” to the uranium mining in their state.

It was 2010 when the Obama administration (and Hillary Clinton) signed off of the Russian/American uranium deal.  Senator Mike Rounds was Governor of South Dakota at the time.  Maybe South Dakota uranium was not in any way connected to this deal… maybe.  We do know that our neighbor, Wyoming is in the mix, so South Dakota may not be much of a stretch.

The US currently IMPORTS uranium to supply our own national needs.  Why then, would we allow ANY export?  Particularly, why would we allow RUSSIAN ownership, which could facilitate a supply line to IRAN or other undesirable recipients.  Reports confirm that US uranium has, indeed left the country.

Nearly $150 million dollars in “contributions” to the Clinton Foundation (not disclosed by the Clinton Foundation) came from stockholders in “Uranium One”, the Russian owned company that currently owns  one fifth (or perhaps more) of America’s uranium.  Maybe the 2010 deal which Hillary signed off on, as Secretary of State, is only coincidental… sure!  One might also wonder if any of the $150 million (or other funds) accrued to the benefit of anyone in South Dakota.  When the names of all the Clinton donors are uncovered, it might be an interesting study to cross-reference them with donations to South Dakota politicians.

Powertech Uranium Corp merged with Azarga Uranium

“Azarga Uranium is a mineral development company that owns six uranium projects, deposits and prospects in USA (South Dakota, Wyoming and Colorado)”

John Mays, Chief Operating Officer for Azarga Uranium, has ties with Russian-owned Uranium One:

“From 2006 until joining Powertech Uranium, Mr. Mays served as the Chief In-situ Mining Engineer at UrAsia’s three ISR projects in Kazakhstan, and later Uranium One”

The World Nuclear Association reports that some American uranium mining operations are owned by… RUSSIA.

The internet site specifically discloses this Russian ownership.

“Toronto-based Uranium One‘s main interests are in ISL projects. Uranium One is now wholly owned by Russia’s ARMZ. In Wyoming, Uranium One USA had production from its Willow Creek ISL project in the Powder River Basin from 2011. It acquired 500 tU/yr capacity from Christensen Ranch ISL mine through the Irigaray central processing plant when it bought those assets for $35 million from Areva in mid-2009″

If Wyoming… maybe also South Dakota??

Are you connecting any dots?  Admittedly, this is only speculation… so, we simply pose the question.  Are South Dakota uranium mining interests (in total or in part) owned by Russian stockholders?

Senator Rounds, please answer the question.  South Dakota would like to know.
