Embryo Calves More Valuable

The Longhorn cattle market is booming.

With a new world record sales price of $380,000.00 for a Longhorn cow, don’t expect prices to settle any time soon.

It’s all about genetics and performance.  When those two things come together, incredible things happen.  Artificial insemination has long played a roll in mating the best cows and the best bulls.  The results speak for themselves.  Embryonics will continue to play an even greater part in advancing the breed in the future.  Longhorn embryos can bring high dollar returns for those willing to invest the time, energy and money.  Live embryo calves command an even higher price.  It’s very exciting, to say the least.

In the last week, we have been graced with the first two embryo calves of the year.  They come from a remarkable dam and a proven sire.

The Dam is Redman5s Legacy, and the Sire is Top Hand.

Legacy is a twisty-horned cow (click HERE for a short video) in her mid 80’s TtT, and Top Hand is a Jamakizm/Top Caliber blend (click HERE for a short video) who would be in his mid to upper 80’s TtT if he had not tipped his horns as a youngster.

We are excited to see the rest of our embryo calves for this year, and to watch them grow!  This year we plan another round of embryo work in this amazing Longhorn adventure.

If you aren’t involved yet… now would be a great time!!
