We will know very soon.

As the Senate works on their version of  “Repeal and Replace”, defenders of the unborn should be calling, emailing and demanding that their Senators end taxpayer funding of the nation’s largest abortion provider.  The Senate can end (most) funding by including provisions which are in the House-passed “American Health Care Act”.  While less than perfect, in so far as it only removes 85% of the total funding for Planned Parenthood, it’s the best thing going so far.

How will South Dakota Senators Mike Rounds and John Thune vote?

We’ll see.  In the immediate meantime, they need to hear from you.

While the American Health Care Act leaves in place nearly $70 Million dollars in funding, it ends $390 million in taxpayer dollars for Planned Parenthood.  I won’t show or tell you here the unspeakable horrors of abortion practiced by this, the nation’s largest abortion provider.  You already know.  Taking these tax dollars from Planned Parenthood is a good first step.

I have never been a fan of “Repeal and replace”.  This is one of many reasons.  Obamacare SHOULD be repealed.  Period.  That could end (completely) taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.  But, even with complete control of Congress and the White House, Republicans are not going to do that.  Sad.  For now, the AHCA is the best opportunity to do the most.

It is also sad that we should even have to encourage our Senators to do the right thing.

But for now, it’s the best we can do.
