Conservatives MUST oppose Boehner’s deal

By Ed Randazzo

Are the true stripes beginning to show through Boehner’s cloak? Some have feared from the start that Speaker Boehner really wasn’t on board with the new breed Republican conservatives that make up the freshman class in Congress. Perhaps their fears were well justified.

The GOP leadership, led by the Speaker, wants another 3-week continuing resolution (CR) ostensibly to allow time for a better deal.

In reality this new CR is a very bad idea.

The new continuing resolution (CR) doesn’t include any of the policy riders that are included in the previous House-passed CR. Those riders would defund Obamacare, EPA climate change and other regulations, Planned Parenthood and National Public Radio, among others.

More importantly, the three-week CR is playing into Reid’s and Obama’s hands, allowing Democrats to lump three debates into one: the CR, a vote to raise the debt ceiling and next year’s budget.

It’s a simple plan and one that John Boehner should be able to figure out.

Oops: looks like my link disappeared. I was pointing out that Kristi Noem says you’re wrong, Ed. She voted the way Speaker Boehner told her to.
