A couple of revealing answers from yesterday’s news shows

QUESTION/ANSWER #1:

From “Meet the Press” on Sunday, July 24, 2011 David Gregory asked William Daley, White House Chief of Staff the following question regarding a suggestion that a “super-committee” would be tasked with making the hard choices on budget cuts at some time in the future.

David Gregory;

“Why should the American people have any more confidence in the political system’s ability to make the hard choices then, when it wont make the hard choices now?”

William Daley’s answer:

“Well, the hope springs eternal. I guess.”

This was, of course, an arrogant, flippant answer to a serious question, typical of this regime. The entire staff of the White House apparently is as defiant and disrespectful as the President himself.

QUESTION/ANSWER #2:

From “Fox News Sunday” on Sunday, July 24, 2011 Chris Wallace asked:

“A plan that would only guarantee cuts and a debt ceiling in early next year, the President would veto?”

Timothy Geithner’s answer:

“I never thought they (the U.S. Congress) would take it this close to the edge.”

I guess he never thought that he would be exposed as a tax cheat either. This is the quality people that Obama trusts.
