Fast & Furious Angst

I woke up this morning with some serious Fast & Furious angst and, of course, I’m compelled to share it with you.

Best I can tell is that there is nothing fast and furious about the investigation of Fast and Furious. While the Obama administration stonewalls, a Border Patrol agent and scads of Mexican citizens have paid the price with their lives. Justice demands action.

What has this eunuch Congress done about it?

Let’s do a quick review. The first discussion of the anti-gun propaganda machine using Mexican drug mobs as their tool was in 2009. The regime used Barry McCaffrey to fabricate a report saying Mexican drug guns came from US gun shows. It was a lie and it has been proven to be a lie.

Then our arrogant President and his adoring sycophants hatched a scheme to make the report accurate by compelling federal licensees to sell to straw purchasers and to let the guns “walk.” That’s what they did, violating state and federal laws governing gun sales, violating international and federal laws about gun smuggling, knowingly providing firearms to known narcotics gangs; to known killers. The number of BATFE-sanctioned smuggled guns has been placed at 2,000. They knowingly, predictably caused the deaths of citizens – ours and Mexico’s.

Want to keep U.S. guns out of Mexico? Defund the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). They provided more guns to Mexican criminal elements than all the gun dealers in the Southwest.

Here’s a cool idea for the US House, if you want to make it look like you actually care about the Executive Branch trampling on the Constitution.

You already know what you need to “know.” Subpoena them for the records, the real ones. Set a “drop dead” date (within 7 days) for them to comply. When they fail to comply (which they will), issue a contempt citation. When they blow it off, file articles of impeachment against the attorney general and get the trial on the schedule.

I don’t want to hear, “The Democrats own the Senate,” “It’s an election year and it looks obstructionist,” or “You don’t understand how we do things.”

I DO!!!

Try doing the right thing for the right reason. If it fails, your conscience is clear. If you fail to try, that great sucking sound should be you…..heading back home unemployed.
