I don’t need any more information on your definition of “Christian”. You explained it very well. WOW!!

“Christian-one who professes a belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ.” That’s right out of the Webster dictionary. There’s no mention of fundementalism anywhere in the definition, or the exclusion of mainstream Christians comprising the over whelming majority of Christians in America. Go figure…..

99% of all South Dakotans are Christians. So, 99% of the people who vote today are Christians. Exactly what are you guys saying? Aren’t you really saying “Wake up fundementalists, and get out there and vote?” Trouble is, you guys comprise only a small minority among South Dakota’s Christians, so your politcal effect is really insignificant.

      Really, now.

Yup. 99% of South Dakotan’s are Christians. That’s why it’s funny to see stories like this. It’s no diffrent than saying you think only fundementalists are real Christians. And South Dakota’s mainstream Christian majority is aware of this.

Still another pronouncement from someone afraid to name his name.

Are you disputing the number of Christians in S.D., or reflecting that information by focusing instead on my anonymity? The last time I checked the definition of “Christian” is “someone who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ.” That’s what the dictionary says. Do you have a different definition you’d like to share?

A Christian not only believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christianity is not a religion, it’s a relationship with Jesus Christ. A Christian not only believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ but lives his life to serve God and to love God and to serve His children. A Christian follows the one true Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

Why didn’t you initially state you have your own opinion and definition of what a “Christian” is? I’m not surprised really, that’s what fundmentalism is all about, re-defining established religious principles, traditions and teachings. It’s a good thing God is forgiving.
