It’s been days since the George Zimmerman verdict was announced and much of the main stream media has portrayed the country as being torn apart and divided over the verdict.
Showing the reactions across the country as individuals and crowds seem to have totally and completely lost the plot! Riots breaking out, looting, black on white crime, and the Black Panthers stating that this verdict is a declaration of war; stating “Were at war,” Shabbazz Twetted. “It’s (sic) silly and immoral to call for peace when war has been declared.”http://www.wnd.com/2013/07/new-black-panthers-zimmerman-verdict-means-war/
You then have Hashim Nazinga from the New Black Panther’s offering a $10,000 dollar reward for the capture of George Zimmerman dead or alive, making the following statement; “We’re saying to President Obama, you gotta do your job on this one buddy… So white America, we have given you 400 years to get it right and you still have failed black people. We’re not even citizens in this country. We’re still third class citizens. Today as black men, we must stand up. We must say to white America, ‘Your time is up.” Has anyone bothered to tell Mr. Nazinga that America has only been in existence for 237 years, not 400! Once again a shining example of our wonderful public educational system here in America, it does us proud does it not; but I digress.
On Monday night some protesters in Huston put the life of a 7-year-old in danger as they blocked the car while her mother and grandmother were trying to get her to the hospital after she had a severe allergic reaction to medication. When her grandmother rolled down the window to ask the protestors to move out-of-the-way so they could get the girl to the hospital, she was attacked by one of the protestors.
On Sunday the day after the Zimmerman acquittal; in Oakland Calf., at 14th and Broadway, crowds became violent as protestors began throwing rocks and bottles at police and reporters, blocking the intersection for most of the day. At 8 pm that evening, Oakland police officers who had been near the corner withdrew leaving motorists stranded and alone to deal with the hostile crowd.
Al Sharpton, often given the incorrect title of a Civil Rights leader, who came out after the verdict and stated, “I think that it is probably one of the worst situations that I’ve seen. What this jury has done is establish a precedent that when you are young and fit a certain profile, you can be committing no crime, just bringing some Skittles and iced tea home to your brother, and be killed and someone can claim self-defense having been exposed with all kinds of lies, all kinds of inconsistencies. … Even at trial when he is exposed over and over again as a liar, he is acquitted. This is a sad day in the country. I think that we clearly must move on to the next step in terms of the federal government and in terms of the civil courts. Clearly, we want people to be disciplined, strategic. But this is a slap in the face to those that believe in justice in this country.”
I must say that I agree with Tucker Carlson’s comment that “Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do not deserve to be called civil rights leaders. They are not. They are hustlers and pimps who make a living off inflaming racial tensions.” That is correct, they do nothing to calm the surges of racial tensions in this country, but rather stir the pot and then step back to watch the crap hit the fan and get paid large sums of money for their efforts. They do nothing for civil rights or for the black community. They continue to be given their civil rights activist titles by a long since dead main stream media who lost their credibility long ago. So why do we still afford these race batters such a revered title as civil rights leaders? No doubt Martin Luther King is turning over in his grave at the very notion.
Then you have the Hollywood elite types coming out and making statements, such as Kirsty Alley who tweeted, “White people use to make black people drink from separate drinking fountains, now we just shoot their children.” And then you have Tom Arnold who tweeted, “Dear Son, I love you and there is no shame in running away from creepy ass crackers #nojustice.” Follow the link to read more celebrity intellectual reasoning.http://www.guns.com/2013/07/15/celebraties-react-on-twitter-to-zimmerman-verdict/
But it does not stop there, Stevie Wonder has stated that he will no longer perform in Florida until the State abolishes its Stand Your Ground gun law, which allows using deadly force against anyone who poses a risk of killing or seriously injuring you! Oh now that makes perfect sense Stevie! Lets’ just give the criminals cart blanch, like they have in Chicago which we all know is working so well. Do these people stop to think about what they are saying before they open their mouths? What is most interesting to note here is that although it appears that there have been many riots, across the country, and that the black community is up in arms over this verdict, the truth is, that many from the black community agree with the verdict, and are not at all upset by this. So what is going on here?
Civil Rights attorney Leo Terrell agreed with the Zimmerman verdict, in a fiery exchange with Juan Williams on Hannity, Mr. Terrell states that “this case was decided correctly.”

Former President Jimmy Carter also agrees with the Zimmerman Verdict, stating “I think the jury made the right decision based on the evidence presented because the prosecution inadvertently set the standard so high that the jury had to be convinced that it was a deliberate act by Zimmerman and that he was not at all defending himself.”

Listening to Mr. Charles Barkley, I have to say, I found his comments to be reasonable and thoughtful when he stated, “Well, I agreed with the verdict. I feel sorry that young kid got killed. But they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him. Something clearly went wrong that night. Clearly something went wrong. I feel bad for anybody who loses a kid, but if you looked at the case and you don’t make it — there was some racial profiling, no question about it. But something happened that changed the dynamic of that night, and I know — that’s probably not a popular opinion among most people but just looking at the evidence I agreed with the verdict.” Mr. Barkley went on to say, “There are very few people have a pure heart when it comes to race. Racism is wrong in any, shape, form — a lot of black people are racist too. I think sometimes when people talk about racism, they say only white people are racist. There are a lot of black people who are racist. Remember when the incident first happened, the police did not make an arrest, as it was viewed as a case of self-defense or “Stand Your Ground.” So no arrest was made. It was only after the President stepped into the middle of this case, taking to the bully pulpit and making the famous remark; “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon Martin.” He then went on to pledge a full investigation into the death of Trayvon Martin. The Zimmerman verdict has also been used by a select few as the catalyst for hate crimes which have been perpetrated by blacks against whites, however, not reported or charged as such and the obvious double standard has many upset and questioning once again this administration’s policies and practices.
Instead of calling for calmer heads to prevail, Attorney General Eric Holder took the opportunity to further exploit this case and the verdict by instead choosing to focus on the “Stand Your Ground”-style laws stating; “It’s time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense and sow dangerous conflict in our neighborhoods,”Holder said in a speech to the NAACP in which he again called the death of Trayvon Martin“unnecessary,” insinuating that such laws are the catalyst of hate crimes perpetrated by whites against blacks in this country.
In his statement he talks about how he had a father son talk with his 15-year-old son, a tradition he states; “This was a father son tradition I hoped would not need to be handed down.” Again implying that as a nation we have not come far in our race relations. In a conversation with my older sister, we discussed what has been happening since the verdict was announced and she made a very interesting point, as the President of the United States, and the Attorney General, the two highest offices held in this country, it appears they are using the anger of a select few to gin up the base of the progressive movement in an attempt to win back the Congress and retain the Senate in the 2014 elections. Another interesting theory floating around the internet could all the race riots and inflamed racial tensions be happening because Obama is feeling threatened with an impeachment? Neither of these are at all out of the realm of possibilities is you ask me.
Given how quickly Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson threw out the race card after the verdict, how quickly the Attorney General made the move to investigate Zimmerman for Civil Rights violation, and began a campaign to ban all “Stand Your Ground,” laws in the country, it begs the question is the entire Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case being used as nothing more than a political ploy to shore up the democratic base in the 2014 mid-term elections and to divert national attention away from an incompetent , scandalous, and treasonous Presidency to something much more important, the trumped-up charges of racism of a Hispanic man who chose life over death while being beaten by a 17-year-old boy with a history of burglary, assault, and drug use.
So while the left try to use the Zimmerman verdict to gin up their base, and take more of our civil rights away from us, let us reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a true Civil Rights leader, who said it best:
“This is our hope. This is the faith that I will go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.
With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.
With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to climb up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.”
“This will be the day when all of God’s children will be able to sing with new meaning ‘My country ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing; Land where my father’s died, land of the Pilgrim’s pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring!”
