A South Dakota man just donated $10 million dollars to “accelerate work” on the Crazy Horse monument.
That follows another $10 million dollar donation made in 2007. Additional donors contributed an equal amount to match his donation. That’s the plan for this latest donation as well.
It’s wonderful news for the memorial foundation.
Recently, South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard hustled up donors for more than $13,000 PER DAY to fund the operation of Mt. Rushmore. People and organizations lined up to write checks.

There are organizations across the state that are working every day to promote Christian values, saves lives and meet the needs of people who are hurting. Most of these organizations accomplish much with very little support. What would happen if believers reached deep in their pockets to support these organizations? These organizations work hard to transform lives and help people in need.
Wouldn’t it be great if a few generous Christians would write some year-end checks to help support a few of these Christ-centered ministries? My mind begins to spin when I think about what could be done with $10 million dollars!!!
If you want to help an organization that is in the trenches every day, helping people and changing lives, here is a short list you might consider for a year-end gift:
Care Net Pregnancy Center in Rapid City… saving the lives of unborn children and ministering to hurting women
Life and Liberty Group… promoting conservative Christian values through television, internet and social media
South Dakota Family Policy Council… engaging our culture with a message of transforming truth
Community Thrift Store in Rapid City… distributing FREE and low cost clothing, household goods and furniture to those in need
A generous gift (of any amount) to any of these organizations would go a long way toward promoting Kingdom principles.
