Any reason why people who desire a helping hand to receive tax payer supported benefits in the form of farm subsidies should not be similarly tested?

The accountability issue with drug testing applicants who desire a helping hand to receive tax payer supported benefits is something that I have and will continue to support. We will swing at this issue again this session.
It does amaze me that the opposition has already spoken against this measure and overall philosophy. I believe that it should be a policy that is part of the application process.

I agree, Senator Kirkeby. Let’s keep trying. Accountability and responsibility are worthwhile goals.
