B1-B Weapons Officer to Talk about Sierra Leone on July 12th

rollins_photoLt. Col. Jennifer A. Rollins, a B1-B Weapons Systems Officer and instructor for EAFB’s 28th Bomb Wing, will talk about her 2010-2012 experiences as a US Senior Defense Official and Air Attaché to Sierra Leone, Africa, on Saturday, July 12th at Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City, starting at 9 am.

      The event is sponsored by the Black Hills Veterans Writing Group. The public is invited.

      Rollins has flown combat missions for operations Northern Watch, Southern Watch and Iraqi Enduring Freedom, where in Bagdad her focus was on electronic warfare for the Army’s Joint Counter-Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare Composite Squadron.

      At EAFB, she has also coordinated an air show, led the wing’s operational readiness inspection team, and assisted during the Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure process, helping remove the base from the closure list.  In addition, she is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and a competitive downhill skier.
