If you visit the South Dakota website you have to search for mention of our State Motto,
“Under God the People Rule” …..
We have given special recognition to our:
State Seal – State Flag – State Flower – State Insect
State Capitol – State Tree – State Bird – State Song
State Animal – State Fish – State Fossil – State Mineral
State Soil – State Gemstone – State Jewelry
State Slogan – State Greeting – State Dessert – State Sport
What about our State Motto “Under God the People Rule”!!!!
It receives a “mention” as part of our State Seal, but if the State Fish is worthy of individual recognition, then why not our State Motto?
