JFK Rejected God In Government

Many Americans believe God has no place in government.

They have plenty of company.

Then-candidate John F. Kennedy gave a forceful presentation to the Greater Houston Ministerial Association in the great state of Texas, stating flatly that there were many issues taking precedent over God.

Today, the myth of “separation of church and state” continues to be the guide for many political leaders.  But the question remains, “do we need God in government?”  As a country, we have politically abandoned God and the principles given by Him with which to guide our lives.

A relevant question might be “How is that working out for us?”

The open rejection of including God in the affairs of politics by JFK was also practiced in his personal life.  It might be reasonable to ask, “How did that work out for him?”

He was killed by assassins bullets, in the same state where he said God should be excluded from politics.
