God’s Healing Power

Some people don’t believe in present-day miracles.healing

I am not one of those.

I have seen the power of God move in the lives of people, including personally witnessing a man raised from the dead.  We have all seen, too, things attributed to God when He probably didn’t have much to do with it.  That doesn’t invalidate a legitimate move of God when He chooses.

My story isn’t as profound as being raised from the dead.  It is still pretty significant to me!

Last week I injured my knee in accident at the ranch.  I couldn’t tell if I had torn something or just terribly sprained and twisted my knee.  I could tell that the pain was strong and constant.  There wasn’t a position that relieved the pain.  I told my wife that if my knee didn’t get better in the next few days I was going to a doctor.  I suspected it would require corrective surgery, judging from the pain.  It had gotten to the point that my entire leg ached.

Yesterday during worship at church, I felt what I perceived as the healing touch of God on my knee and leg.  Late yesterday and through the night the pain disappeared.  This morning there is NO pain and I am walking without any pain.  It is as though I had never injured my knee to begin with.  I am very thankful.

You might question whether this rises to the level of a miracle.  All I know is that my knee seems to have been healed.  It reminds me of the man whose eyesight was restored by Jesus.  When questioned by the religious rulers of the day, he said,

“One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
