Nothing.

That has been a puzzle to many.  This video may explain why  there hasn’t been anyone in South Dakota (still living) who has stepped forward to expose the problems or the players.

Former Governor, now US Senator Mike Rounds refused to testify under oath about his leadership and involvement in the EB 5 program.  The Huffington Post reported on possible “criminal wrongdoing in the sordid EB-5 saga that has left a former state cabinet official dead, a $115 million beef packing plant bankrupt just nine months after it opened, and a mysterious $30 million loan from Hong Kong that also provided a $1 million payoff to a Los Angeles firm that does not seem to exist.”

The brother of Mike Rounds was in charge of EB 5 litigation.  How convenient.

EB 5 dollars were given to a company Rounds was personally invested in.  Nice fringe benefit.

There is so much more, including money laundering allegations.  Still, no one is talking.

Do you really believe that everything was above board with South Dakota’s EB 5 program, or could it be that no one is willing to put themselves at risk to step forward?
