Yesterday, 1/11/2011, the first day of the 2011 South Dakota Legislative Session, the Capitol Rotunda was occupied for over 90 minutes by South Dakotans who traveled from around the state to pray for the leaders of our state.

Prayers were offered individually and corporately for the elected officials who now begin what will be a a challenging legislative session.

The following proclamation was read reminding all of the South Dakota State Motto emblazoned on the Great Seal of the State of South Dakota.
