Jindal Wins Early Debate

Opening Statements are over…

Bobby Jindal was the clear winner.  His polling numbers should rise as a result of his performance, if America is really listening.

The other three didn’t make a very positive impression.

To his credit, Graham seemed to have a plan to combat Islamic terrorists.  His remarks throughout seemed to be reasoned and well grounded, albeit somewhat sharp and angry.  Maybe he should be a candidate for Secretary of State.  We could use a little fire and brimstone in that area.

After Santorum declared candidates should not attack other Republican candidates, he wasted little time attacking Jindal.  Jindal recused himself well when attacked on immigration policy.  His comments on the subject were interrupted several times by applause.

Pataki appeared to be out of place and generally not up to the job.  He established himself as one of the candidates who is anti-Christian and anti-religious liberty.

Jindal made the best point on religious liberty by asking the left to give us a list of jobs they believe Christians can not hold.  He also took the high ground regarding the appointment of Supreme Court Justices.

Santorum just didn’t seem to have the fire in his belly to win the contest.  The only time his passion came through was when he defended his proposal to raise the minimum wage.

Jindal also held the Republican majority in Congress responsible for NOT performing well, specifically on ObamaCare and defunding Planned Parenthood.  “If we can’t de-fund Planned Parenthood, it’s time to be done with the Republican Party.”  He went on to say there is not any point in having two liberal parties.  Amen Governor Jindal!

Even the closing statement of Jindal was the strongest.

Jindal deserves a place on the big stage.

I only caught part of the debate, but this is good to hear. Bobby Jindal is my #2 choice, close on the heels of Ted Cruz. They’d make a great president/vice president team–16 years of the kind of principle and leadership we need to get this ailing nation back to greatness!
