Our Leftist Government Sees Americans as the Enemy

FacebookDid you realize…

…that your federal government (your government, the one paid for by YOUR tax dollars, that exists to serve YOU) views YOU with suspicion, while turning a blind eye to foreign threats?

You didn’t know this?  I know such a thing should not be, but the evidence is myriad after seven years of being led by an anti-American Marxist.

Consider the latest evidence from the Daily Caller:

The Department of Homeland Security has operated a program to monitor ordinary Americans’ social media discussions about the agency’s policy directives, even though it had in place another policy prohibiting agents from checking visa applicants’ social media accounts for possible signs of terrorist leanings.

Yes, you read right.

The federal government which ostensibly exists to protect the American people from dream buildersforeign threats (one of the few functions the federal government is mandated to perform these days that is actually authorized by the U.S. Constitution), has a policy in place that refuses to look at the public social media platforms of foreigners applying for entry into the United States for indicators that these foreigners might be interested in doing harm to the United States and its citizens, or might otherwise be dishonest in their visa applications. Actually looking at such foreign social media could  have prevented San Bernardino terrorist Tashfeen Malik from entering the country and slaughtering over a dozen Americans.

That same federal government which ostensibly exists to protect the American people from foreign threats instead makes a deliberate effort to snoop on the social media platforms (and any piece of electronic communication they can get their hands on) of American citizens and know what its own citizens are saying.

How clear does it have to be that this radical Leftist government sees America’s enemies as friendly, and sees the American people as the enemy?

Well, why should we expect differently from a chief executive whom we knew eight years ago pals around with domestic and foreign terrorists?

Yet not only does the Democrat Party in the United States defend this kind of anti-American behavior, the majority of “Republican” Party leaders refuse to even discuss impeaching the traitor running the federal government.

The founders of this once-great nation (and others) warned us over 200 years ago, and we are without excuse…

Among a people generally corrupt, liberty cannot long exist. – Edmund Burke

Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. – Benjamin Franklin

For a true patriot must be a religious man. I have been led to think from a late defection, that he who neglects his duty to his Maker, may well be expected to be deficient and insincere in his duty towards the public. – Abigail Adams

It is when a people forget God, that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom. No free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue; and by a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles. – Patrick Henry

It is in the interest of tyrants to reduce the people to ignorance and vice. For they cannot live in any country where virtue and knowledge prevail. The religion and public liberty of a people are intimately connected; – Samuel Adams

Human rights can only be assured among a virtuous people. – George Washington

When the religion of a people is destroyed…Such a condition cannot but enervate the soul, relax the springs of the will, and prepare a people for servitude. Not only does it happen in such a case that they allow their freedom to be taken from them; they frequently surrender it themselves. – Alexis de Tocqueville

Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded because they flatter the people in order to betray them. – U.S. Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story

We can be a morally lax people, or we can be a free people. We cannot be both.

Which would you rather be?
