Republicans Find A New Low

We already knew that most of the Republicans were not conservative.

But we didn’t really comprehend just how bad it was.  Until now.

The spending bill which totally funds the Obama agenda (including the continued funding of Planned Parenthood) would have passed the US House of Representatives without ANY Democrat votes.  Interestingly, 106 Democrats voted AGAINST this Republican endorsement of the Obama agenda.  Does that give you any pause?

Only THREE… count them, THREE House Republicans voted against this spending bill.  I wonder if their names could be Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  They will undoubtedly experience the fiery furnace of retribution from the Republican Establishment.

This shameful display of Republican betrayal has some conservatives calling for the dismantling of the Republican Party.  Their assertion is that it is nothing more than a sham.  It’s increasingly hard to disagree.  At the very least, this vote is being seen for what it is… a total betrayal.

Shameful, indeed.

Hey Gordon, I’m pretty sure the American Vision article linked above is mistaken. It actually refers to the results of Thursday’s vote on the so-called “Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes” act (vote #703):

    https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/114-2015/h703

The results of yesterday morning’s vote on the omnibus spending bill (vote #705) are here:
    http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2015/roll705.xml
    https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/114-2015/h705

As you can hopefully see, the omnibus bill wouldn’t have passed without the votes of Democrats. Only 18 of them voted against it, compared to nearly a hundred Republicans.

This still isn’t exactly good news, but it’s not quite as bad as the American Vision piece makes it out to be.
